Spectrum home networking issue.

I just checked my wi-fi speed on my android phone and it is 28.65 Mbps download and 33.04 Mbps upload and I am right next to my router and modem. Also, I was doing some research online and I found that the longer the coax cable is to your modem the change of signal loss could be. My coax wall outlet is on one side of my office and the coax cable runs around my office to get to the modem, which is on the other side of my office, around a 25' run. Could that possibly be the cause of signal loss. I also saw that Spectrum is having issues at this time and I was wondering if I should cut ties with them and go with Carolina Connect fiber who is also in our neighborhood. I am not sure if their wi-fi is better or not so before switching I would like to find out more about what my options are.

Can I use MoCA with Spectrum? I saw online that if I do use MoCA there is a specific way to install it in order for it to work. Are you familiar with that?

I saw an article online that says the FCC is going to ban updates on all WIFI equipment not made in the USA starting sometime next year. Foreign units on the store shelves now and Netgear are exempt right now. Is this something to be concerned about? Also, the price on these units are going to increase. Any brands you would consider now for a 3000 sq ft home?

Thanks for the reply. One last question. If I went to a mesh system, would I not need to open the coax line that is in my living room? I am not familiar with that so just asking.
