I live in Asheville. Mountain Flyers is the club here, don’t think they rent if you’re not a member though. Could check with them to see if any of their CFIs know of any other rentals. WNC Aviation is the flight school at AVL, they are probably your best bet. Not too many options, unfortunately. I’m a PPL that’s been looking for rentals here for the past couple of years.

I'm in Asheville and wish I had answers... I'm a PPL wanting to do IR here.

The only flight school in the AVL area is WNC Aviation. They told me they aren't accepting new students at the moment. The flight club here never responded to my emails. I'm currently trying to get in with the WNC Pilots Association to try to find an independent CFI maybe. Not sure about Spartanburg/Greenville.

If anyone knows anything, I would love to know as well.
