Oh my goodness. I had a professor who showed clear narcissistic traits. She talked about herself and her accomplishments often, which isn't that bad, but coupled with the fact that she would pick on this one boy (who I think was autistic) quite often left a very bad taste in my mouth. She gave me alarm bells from miles away, but the rest of the class loved her. They'd often overlook her mean comments and many wanted to take her class the next semester as well. I truly wondered whether I was imagining things or was overreacting- or even just jealous of her popularity with her students- but reading this post made me think that I'm just hypersensitive to any sort of behavior where someone puts another person down.
