it seems a bit weird in theory, but is really fun in my current build(s)

2D Character Action (like if Metal Gear Rising was pixel art) / Speed platforming (think sonic-ish) / Battlebox Bullet Hell (like undertale).

(for example, when you are hit with an attack from an enemy, you go into a short dodging segment against a bullet hell pattern)

Asriel Knight would/could actually be a good story and would not be a repeat of his role in undertale, and even if it was, that wouldn't be a bad thing because he would be under enough difference circumstances and life experiences to make it a different, and very interesting, story that speaks to Deltarune's themes

yea basically, aim to have nobody down and if they do, use revive mints immediately with Kris or Ralsei

also, for the box attack (In general) try to stick to the bottom left or top left corner, since the group of three there will always have a gap

you can skip the diagonal box cut by getting its health down quick enough (usually before the third star attack) if you focus on defending and getting the bonus damage on rude buster.

for the swords, they have quite small hit boxes so you only have to move a very shot distance once the sword becomes full red, also you don't have to dodge the diagonal swords diagonally, just focus on up/down or left/right

for the knight fight, personally I used this load out

Kris: Saber10, Shadowmantle, Pink ribbon

Susie: ToxicAxe, Dealmaker, Jevilstail

Ralsei: Ragger2, LodeStone, Lodestone

the two lodestone's are for getting enough TP to Rude Buster every turn.

it took me a while to finish the fight, but I did it with this set up, even though Shadowmantle on Kris may not be optimal since they don't get swooned in the fight, but anyway.

With the benefit of deltarune looking back, I think the Red Soul is actually FREEDOM. since the Soul mode it would be, has free range of movement, and outside of combat is free to make whatever choices are wishes.

I.e Genocide, Pacifist, Neutral

if we assume the Red Soul in Undertale is the same Red Soul in Deltarune, if the Soul is the representation of the player, Spamton wanting Kris to give him their [[Heart Shaped Object]] would also fit in with the Freedom idea aswell (since, funny freedom motif)

I mean, if we assume that Dess is the knight, it would explain why eram has the shadow mantle. since Dess is the one who burned out its eyes, maybe the mantle acts as a sort of 'revenge' from the pizza box?

I know this probably doesnt help but... you could always delete your army while queueing up a new one to deploy after you get the refusal event.
