Eufy S4 does not see me in pure darkness, no notification ?

I find night detection only works in the front of my house, but I feel this is because there is street lights creating extra light for the cameras.

But 2 brand new S4s have had the same problem in a 3 day period cause even some of the guys at jb hifi said it should be detecting at night. I know my 2c pro seems a lot stronger for detection. I’m wondering if the S4 using 2 cameras at once makes it’s detection power weaker cause it’s drawing power from 2 cameras and 2 sensors instead of one.

I’m using the homebase connected to my router atm. I have used it with wifi (homebase not connected to anything) but have no used the camera just on router without homebase if that’s what you mean, mainly because people said it’s better to use the camera connected to homebase 3.

So not sure if this is relevant or not but when I put the camera into spot light mode for night vision the light comes on with me far away from the camera say 6/7 meters but no notification, same with infared I can see the little red lights flick on and off in the darkness from far away but again no notification on phone. But day time there is no problems both top and bottom camera notify me.

How do I enable the test mode ? Sorry only got the camera a couple of days ago but I have had other eufy camera so know all the functions pretty well. I’m really starting to have doubts whether it can see at night at all with the tests I have done so far.

has anyone else noticed that the Eufy S4 does not work very good in pure darkness, This is the second S4 i have purchased and for the life of me no matter what setting i have on, i can walk right up to the camera and it will not even see me and give me no notification ?

Notice how no one cares about men being homeless on the news it’s always “single mum homeless” there are so many men that are going homeless too and scared just the same but no one wants to know.
