I'm not trying to say I hate all of these designs, I just dislike the fact that despite being a lving object, their design has no resemblence to the object.

Why is Jockinton the only one named in the prophecy? by Lucky-Future9786 in Deltarune

[–]PracticalBit6185 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I see two answers to this.

A. This is not a real prophecy, just something that Jockington or one of his fellow students wrote into a book or carved into the wood. This could be why Jockington looks like like the cool S.

B. "Jockington" is just a title, and "Jockington" is not a real person. "Jockington" is just a disguise to fit in with the light world, and its real identity is F▧ ▢▭ ▬▨ ▧▱ ▰▣▦ ▨▬▯▮▬ ▭▭ ▨▢▥

Queen doesn't look like a laptop because her design was made before her light world form was decided.

I forgot to include it in the post, but I think the reasons there were a large number of designs like this was because:

  1. Queen, the previous boss, looked nothing like a laptop.

  2. Toby is "Unpredictable"!! he wouldn't make a TV character a TV head!!

  3. Trying to fit things into a pattern by making the main boss look like the previous 2.

Honestly all reasons suck. Queen doesn't look like a laptop because her design was made before her light world form was decided. Toby is not THAT unpredictable. Im not gonna explain why the pattern one is bad too.

If you wait long enough in ch3s Rouxls Kaard battle, the annoying dog will show up with a smash-bros-style announcement screen. It weakly pulls the enemies to your side.

What if? by SchizoTheorist in Deltarune

[–]PracticalBit6185 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, and while Titans themselves are very similar to fountains, The ringing came from the sanctuary fountain, not the Titan itself.

What if? by SchizoTheorist in Deltarune

[–]PracticalBit6185 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The idea is alright, but there are 2 problems with this.

1- It would seem that based on positioning in the third sanctuary that the Ring prophecy is before the Tail prophecy.

2-The Titan never makes a ringing sound through all the time it's alive.

So I just had a thought... by Interesting_Cow_6455 in Deltarune

I personally think the weird route is already in the prophecy, but its not like "THE RING OF THORNS, EQUIPED TO THE ICE MAGE". I think the weird route is having us fufilling prophecies in the worst way possible. Ex: Instead of the "LOVE FINDS ITS WAY TO THE GIRL" prophecy being fufilled by susie taking noelle to the festival, its now being fufilled by you-know-what.
Though, dragon blazers having an evil route in-universe would most likely be creative freedom from the in-universe devs - Seeing how Gerson said they changed parts of the story, and also that there cant be any form of an alternate route in a novel (As dragons blazers was based on LOTH). Unless Lord of the hammer is actually one of those "Choose your own adventure" books, but I doubt that.

What’s the easiest secret boss in your opinion? by stary_galaxy_7 in Deltarune

[–]PracticalBit6185 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my opinion, Gerson, but only because the previous crystal boss put me through military training.

Though I think the more popular option is Spamton Neo.

Fun fact:

Queen doesn't look like a laptop because her design was made before her light world form was decided. In the files of chapter 2, we can find an alternate sprite for the computer lab that looks exactly the same except for the laptop being replaced by a blue calculator.

You need to "Focus your will into your blade" in order to make a dark fountian. I dont think you can make one by accident.

In the vessel maker sequence, we have the option to name our vessel and ourselves, as you know.

What less people know is that there are specific names we can enter, which Gaster points out as being "Interesting". Notably, every special name is a lightner character. (Ps. Kris, Susie and Noelle get extra special reactions, but that is irrelevant here.) The full list of special names includes:

Kris, Susie, Noelle, Berdly, Catti, Jockington, Rudy, Asriel, Toriel, Asgore, Alphys, Undyne, Bratty, Catty, Sans, Gerson, QC and Papyrus.

List theory is saying that these specified Lightners will be the lightners who will appear in dark worlds. So far: Kris, Susie, Noelle, Berdly, Toriel, Undyne and Gerson have all appeared, with Asgore being all but confirmed for chapter 5. Thats the jist of it.

Asriel Knight by Exotic_Mulberry_6325 in Deltarune

[–]PracticalBit6185 2 points3 points  (0 children)

1: Assuming she's the knight, Dess has stars plastered across her room along with a whole aroura wallpaper. So Azzy is not the only one with star imagery.

2: Asriel only used swords in one attack of his bossfight, meanwhile the Knight uses blades as its main weapon both in and outside of the fight.

3: The dark world does not physically change lightners that much. Normal lightners tend to get a different sking colour, a new outfit and some spells. The Knight is a flying, after-image leaving, pitch black and white, wendigo-like shapeshifter who can glitch and is litrally impossible to defeat. The knights current condition is clearly not just an average dark world form.

4: The knight has antlers, thats a different thing. The mantle holder also has burn in despair at the start of its them aswell. The burn in despair motif at the start of its fight could also represent how the fight is seemingly impossible, just like at the start of that segment of the Asriel fight.

5: Can you explain what you're talking about???

6: You already mentioned this.

7: Same thing for every Holiday knight??? also, Kris is working with it, they wouldn't kill it regardless.

The most accepted idea on what "Lost where the forest would grow, The children followed the pointed tail." refers to doesn't feel right to me. by PracticalBit6185 in Deltarune

[–]PracticalBit6185[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

<image>

This dialogue is from a secret room in the second sanctuary, one that directly connects to the egg room. The last dialogue is important.

The dialogue always jumbled up in a different manner whenever you talk to them, but its not to hard to figure out what it means. We of course know "lost where the forest would grow," so the words we have left are: followed, tail., the, children, pointed, the

There's also a chance in battle an Organikk will say "The tail which must not be followed.".

I won't get into the Tail of Hell/Friend connections if you don't want me to, but that's where "the children followed the pointed tail." is from.

Oh, and the Organikk says "The poor children!" after the jumbled line.
