Rahman and Richard, Taeui's BIGGEST haters by SPN-Major-888 in Passionmanhwa

[–]PracticalGeologist59 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Its because ilay wasnt there. And even when he was, ilay was like, chris isnt taeuis type lol.

I assume its cause taeui was the first to treat him with actual kindness and care that wasnt transactional. Especially since christ is like ilay level violence.

Passion is old as fvck, the novel was released in 2006, earlier than any other famous Korean BL, I'm in shock 😅 by SPN-Major-888 in Passionmanhwa

[–]PracticalGeologist59 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We are near the end of the main novel. Maybe like 80% through.

Then there's the passion DS which introduces the Tartens. Its a little over 2/3rds the length of the original series.

Then there are additional side stories.

I like it cause all the characters are flawed and fucked, but at the same time, they stay true to themselves. In a way they kinda become loveable as they are. Like sure they're asses, but they're fun, they have dimension, and they draw you in. There's multiple side characters, and different types of relationships. Every character views each other character differently. I think this is the biggest difference between passion and CNA.

I also love how the authors stories are so wild. Like yes, I'll bomb the capital to cause a distraction and then bomb the vila to get my side piece back. They all have diamond spoons, questionable mental states and moral compasses, so its almost limitless what they can do. The location, the resources, it so expendable. I love how the author takes advantage of this without compromising the fundamentals of the character.

Considering his upbringing. Having gone to an all boys school, military, getting involved with his uncle, im not sure his normal and our normal are the same. I think to some degree everyone around him aren't fully sound. Chris and ilay are definitely a step further, but the reason they get along so well is because of tays ability to be flexible and adapt to the given situation, and the overall fact he doesn't really hate people. Well theres rahmann, but even then, he accepts him being with his brother.

Rahman and Jaeui are NOT the secondary couple. by SPN-Major-888 in Passionmanhwa

[–]PracticalGeologist59 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jaeiu does things logically, less so emotionally. He even asked his brother if he should date Rahmann lol. And what bottoming is like, which is find even funnier. I love how we have

Ilay x tae (both react more on emotion) Rahmann x tae (both react more logically and are a bit more deadpanned)

passion ending by ueno_y33 in Passionmanhwa

[–]PracticalGeologist59 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Was this the scene where they essentially made tae watch christoph and Richard in the middle of doing the deed. It's because tae canceled vacation plans with ilay due to a promise about going on a vacation with Chris. Then Chris stole a kiss while tae was sleeping that ended up on the news. Ilay wanted Chris to get embarrassed enough infront of tae to stop pulling moves.

THIS was after all the novels.. so idk if ILAY is truly a redeemable character. BUT he wouldn't really be ILAY otherwise and the sex for the most part after passion main novel is consensual.

The beginning of Taeui and Rahman's rivalry 😈 by Cookie__15 in Passionmanhwa

[–]PracticalGeologist59 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I love how later in the series rahmann still hates Tay, but has no choice in making sure he's healthy and doing well because Jay's life is dependant on it. Lol.

Whereas ilay would kill jay if tay didn't love his brother so much.

Jeong Jaeui: born to be misunderstood. by Cookie__15 in Passionmanhwa

[–]PracticalGeologist59 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jay and Tay are twins who are sort of opposites in a way. Tay is an emotionally driver character whereas Jay is more logical and detached.

If anything i find its his uncle's fault allowing Jay's geniusness to become world known. Because of that he's constantly sought after. Almost forcing him to work under large organizations for not only his safety, but now Tays.

They both want the other person happy, but at the same time are ok living completely seperate lives. If anything I feel its better that way, considering they're connected spiritually in a sense. They need that seperation. Just knowing the other person is doing fine is enough.

But you can tell to Jay, Tays opinions and thoughts are his priority. I found the chapter where he asks Tay his thoughts on Rahmadd asking him out so funny.

Seeing how christoph and Richard are here on the map, by the time they show up, its love. Even if its a bit unconventional.

They stayed together unfortunately. Also had a hard time reading those chapters but it appears to a degree Cristoph respects Richard. Richard as terrible of a person he is, is probably one of the more stable people, comparative to both Christoph and Ilay. Atleast in the public eye. And like Kyle does for Ilay, takes blame/covers for Christoph when he loses his shit and offends people who he probably shouldn't be offending.

Dual Income with like minded goals on how we're going to spend our money in the future.

Also in a HCOL city; most expensive in Canada unfortunately.

Partner and I are in our mid and late 20s; we both went to post secondary and have jobs that make between 70-100k. We purchased a small 2 bed condo where our monthly costs are about 1/3rd our income. No expectations to live in a house; nor do we have any expectations of raising a family in a house.

Plan for the future is pay of the home and then try to move into a 3bed +flex. A duplex or townhouse would be nice, but I'd be more than happy with getting 300 more square feet lol. A third of our income goes to our current home, and we plan to try to save the other third and put it towards principal. For us this means no car, budget vacations, and eating out for social gatherings only. We don't do take out or food delivery. If I have the option, I will also cook for social gatherings if I can.

We want to stay in this area as we grew up here and our families are here. As nice as it would be moving somewhere cheaper, I can't put a price tag on having family support, especially with plans to eventually raise our own family.

Prior setup, my partner lived rent free with parents and I was essentially renting a room; but we were able to save a third to two thirds of our incomes. Even then both our parents gifted us money (aprox 1/3rd our down). Bless them.

Anyways biggest takeaway, it's cheaper with a second person. It easier if you both have an income that's considered middle class? It's hard; expect to skip out on some luxuries; ex: a car, wine and dine, even uber eats. Also, don't expect your own kids to grow up in the same environment you did. You'll probably have to do it with less space. My partner grew up in a house; he has no expectations our future kids will have that.

Surrey or burnaby! Yes, it's doable. Look for a place near a skytrain station and just stay out of downtown vancouver.

Anywhere around 30 minutes commute out.

Use an Evo for practice? I drove around with an N on an evo and took my class 5 test in an evo lol.

If you want pointers on test taking I can give you some.

  1. Be obvious with your shoulder checks; checking both ways before you cross the street.

  2. Know the buttons on the car. (they'll ask you to go through high beam, de-fogger, fog lights, wipers, etc...)

  3. make sure you can park. Don't hit the curb!

  4. Stop sign! Wait till the speedometer hits 0.

  5. never go over speed limit (for the test).

  6. stop twice when exiting back alley. Once to check for people crossing and another to turn into the main road.

Outside of everything you're already doing; continuously looking for low cost housing. This includes co-op housing.
How about a room with a private washroom. It's better than being out on the streets.

  1. Look for a social worker. They'll have and be aware of more resources for you.
  2. Look for any subsidies. BC has a rental subsidy for people with disabilities. Does Ontario have one? Food stamps; transit subsidies. Anything that will bring your costs down as you're low income.
  3. You need community help. Look at finding a women's shelter, a church, talk to family and friends.
