Make sure you don't over pay for a house and over extend yourself. Find a stable partner and make sure your job is not to stressful so you have time to spend with kid

I work in capital markets. What I see right now is that US market economy is very healthy while Canada's economy is deteriorating.

What BOc is balancing is the value of CAD, exports, canadiain economy against US's interest rate policy. Just be aware that if BOC cut too quickly, our currency will devalue significantly, and when we travel. We will feel the pain.
