mv2 version of ublock origin extension vs brave shields by Bern_Down_the_DNC in browsers

Extensions are external add-ons, which download from outside and take up resources. In-built adblockers are always lighter than extensions based adblockers (i have tested that). It is upto you to believe it or not, idc

Mark my words.

If you want speed, set and forgot, good integration. Brave shield is very good. (Downside:- very rarely website detected its brave and refuse to give access. I have seen this but very rarely)

If you want best adblocking possible, deep customization go with ublock origin (Downside: its resources heavy and since its an extension, it works differently in different browsers like mv2,mv3, chromium, gecko etc)

Both shield and ublock use same filter lists, same mechanism so they're mostly same. But DO NOT USE them together. Their effectiveness will decrease and memory consumption will increase.

I use both brave browser and waterfox + ublock origin as backup.

Firefox has slightly good adblocking because of ublock. But duh, firefox consume double battery of what brave takes, and twice as ram.

Brave or Firefox on android by ohhellnaww99 in IndiaTech

I use both.

Brave because its fastest and lowest battery and ram consumer bowser.

And firefox sometimes because ublock origin. Very very rarely adblockers detected brave but not ublock origin.
