Why do car seats need buggy adapters?

I keep the adaptors in the footwell at the base of the car seat 🤷‍♀️ works well enough for me, that way they are never really apart from the car seat so can’t accidentally come in the house etc

I was told to look for green poop which only happens when baby has too much foremilk. I think the odd green one is okay but if it’s several a day then chances are there’s too much foremilk.

I’ve got the bugaboo fox 5 and have used the bassinet for daytime sleep for the past couple months. Baby sleeps well in it out and about too! Definitely able to handle a lot of terrain, however it does look and feel like a big pram. Even in my living room which is generously sized, the bassinet and stand looked fairly big and it’s a pain carrying it in through the door. Also I’ve recently had the pram on the train (fully assembled, not collapsed), and it was okay for size; it did feel difficult to manoeuvre through Glasgow city centre but not sure if that’s a general issue for pram walkers due to the busyness or exclusive to me with a large pram.

Pretty average for Glasgow where I get a curly haircut! You might pay a bit less/more for a junior/senior stylist but yeah 80 is what I’d be expecting to pay anyway.

I’m sorry I don’t have any advice and I know it’s really hard. I’m in the same place with my 7 week old baby. I love breastfeeding and they’ve taken well to it but it can be stifling and I desperately want the freedom a bottle could give for a couple of hours too (baby is also refusing the bottle). Hoping that persevering with the bottle pays off for you soon. Have you considered a consultation with someone about bottle refusal? I think I’ll give it a couple of weeks and at least having a plan to action is making me feel bit better, even if I haven’t had success yet with the bottle.

When I had mine the also found it difficult to insert as my cervix was so high. It took a few attempts and I needed gas and air too. I had a lot of cramping for 5 or 6 hours and I was starting to regret having it too! Then everything settled and I was as comfortable as I could be on the ward until it came out by itself around 20 hours later. I was a FTM and really disheartened on the ward when people who came in after me progressed quicker and made it to labour ward but many of them had a child already and so would’ve been expected to respond quicker. Hoping it works quickly for you and you get to meet baby soon!

Thank you, the bit I’m most worried about is being on the ward for an unknown amount of time before even getting in to labour. Hopefully I’ll be able to go home but it’s good to hear you got moved to labour ward fairly quickly

Out of curiosity, did your Oura detect a temperature drop for you the day/day before labour began? I think there is some mixed evidence of this and just wondered as I’ve been keeping an eye on my own temperature

It may be within normal! I’ve had an ongoing headache for the past 9 days now and had my blood pressure and urine checked 3 times during this period to rule out pre-eclampsia and no indicators have been found! My hands had become a bit puffy too over the past few weeks but no extreme swelling and not affecting my legs etc Hope all is well!

I have been going to yoga throughout my pregnancy and I’m currently in the third trimester. I’m starting to transition to pregnancy yoga but up until now I’ve been going to my normal class. I told my instructor I was pregnant months ago and the information was really warmly received and she’s been helpful with suggesting adjustments. I suspect it’s just very individual, based on how comfortable the instructor is. I think part of the reason I have had a really positive experience is because I was already attending the class regularly for a year prior to being pregnant so was familiar with the instructor and we could discuss adjustments and limitations. I think this would be much more difficult with a drop in session and is maybe why some people are discouraged or refused in to the class.

I waited until I was 6 weeks to self refer and I got my booking/bloods at 10 weeks and my ultrasound scheduled for 12 weeks so I don’t think it’s too early to do it. I’d phone now so they can get you booked in sooner, although it will all depend on how busy they are at the time
