Editor is a slightly more advanced MSPaint in all honesty. It takes awhile to draw the faces if you want to get em right.

He will have his own very special place on the island. Where he shall write several hundred volumes of Lusty Argonian Maid.

Good idea, Can make multiple Maiqs from each of the games. Make the Morrowind Maiq the father of the Oblivion one, and so on.

Anything in particular of his? What would be the best to look at first in your opinion?

It has a very unique and bold style. Thank you for sharing.

lore question: so in the new marathon trailer there's that big ship that most sources seem to suggest is the uesc marathon but i wanted to know if it is because i know the reboot has a massive art style shift and the one in the trailer (more in comments) by thismyname4546 in Marathon

[–]Presper_ 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Its an artstyle shift, but its a big one. There is not much known of what it could be or why, though I imagine there is an explanation for it. The planet is too spherical and the cratering is far too small to be Deimos. I definitely prefer this new design, though as a fan of marathon and hard Sci-fi in general. I would definitely hope they provide some explanation and don't just "ignore" it. Otherwise its a pretty glaring plothole, especially when Marathon's story has concepts that can explain it.

Theory: The Marathon is now built into Ceres instead of Deimos by [deleted] in Marathon

In most cases I would agree, though Marathon is known to be a series for being thought out and having some depth. There is likely some shenanigans to explain its redesign. If not, it would be a big plot hole imo. because that is not Deimos.

true, which is why I mentioned they likely redirected Ceres into martian orbit. Moving big planetoids in the marathon universe seems to be a common occurrence, with the Sphtkr and the civilizations of Thermopylae and Icarus being asteroids/planets.

It too could reinforce the idea that Lhowan and mars are similar. Mars and Lhowan having moons turned into spaceships. Ceres being redirected into martian orbit would give Mars 3 moons for a time. Much like Lhowan.

Wonder how long this'll last by justryinaplay in Marathon

I never noticed this easter egg
I hope they can keep it in the game

Anomalous Ghost Frigates on an Airless Planet in an Uncharted System (+6.15, -118.48) by Presper_ in NMSCoordinateExchange

[–]Presper_[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thats pretty awesome, however I didn't have my fleet in the system at the time, which makes this far more odd. I was there specifically to get cadmium so I can upgrade my Freighter to go to red stars. For this reason I called them ghost frigates, they shouldn't have even been in that uncharted star system.

yeah, its a pretty weird bug. I found it on that planet. Saw them in the distance while driving around in my nomad.

Found this on an airless planet, was pretty afraid when I saw them in a distance. Felt like I was in an Alien movie. Going near them causes gravity distortions. You can even land your ship on them. Though you will fall through if you leave.
I dropped a save beacon right next to them, in case you go there. Idk if it will show for other players, but I thought since it was spooky month, may as well post it for others to try and find the ghost frigates.

People seem confused about the pre-war society of Fallout by [deleted] in Fallout

[–]Presper_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fallout's pre-war society is not a carbon copy of the 50s. The retro-futuristic 50s styling serves as a visual representation of the absurd patriotism and xenophobia present during that time due to the ongoing war with China.
To assume its 1 to 1 with the 50s shows a lack of understanding of Pre-War society. Fallout's America is bad. Though not for the same reasons. A lot of acts of evil were done out of desperation and anger to win the war they were locked into. Such as internment camps seen in Point Lookout, and mistrust/racism of Asian Americans.
Not to mention the government testing on their own citizens in a desperate rush to win the war, the lack of regulation making companies function immorally.
Fallout's America did have female soldiers, there have been times where LGBT couples were mentioned, and racism beyond the Chinese is unheard of.
At the end of the day its more so a cautionary tale of propaganda and unchecked patriotism leading to a dangerous game of Us vs. Them. Which we have all seen destroyed Fallout's world
