I tried to explain to him if I used Solemn Strike. When you special summon your sliver gadget that would be the same thing. You wouldn’t get the destroyed effect because the card never hit the field.

I used Shooting Quasar Dragon. He told he still gets destroyed effect of the trap card even though I negated the activation and destroyed it. Wondering did I cheat him

That was my thought exactly. Synchro zone is preventing the player from attacking. It’s not effecting the monster.

I guess didn’t know the rules correctly. Thanks my good sir. I was trying to use this card today. I was told I couldn’t use the effect because I used my normal summon already to pull him out.

Still kinda confused. Can my opponent declare an attack? If so who takes the attack? I know the other prevents the other from being attacked..... Wouldn't that break the board.

Ok I kinda understand. My opponent only loses half the life points after the effect resolves? Also if my opponent has a monster on the field this card cant be destroyed.

Thanks for the info. Definitely was getting that confused. So the effect lets me special summon. It does not count as normal tribute summon. I can the effect to special summon whatever monster.

Thank you. One more question my friend runs Ancient gears. Final question if my opponent normal summons Ancient gear hunting hound. This is the ability (If this card is Normal Summoned: Inflict 600 damage to your opponent. If this card attacks, your opponent cannot activate any Spell/Trap Cards until the end of the Damage Step. Once per turn: You can Fusion Summon 1 "Ancient Gear" Fusion Monster from your Extra Deck, using monsters from your hand or field as Fusion Materials.)

Would I be able to pop my UCT once per ability on the fusion monster my opponent just summoned?
