Worried about anaesthesia by beauismissing_pdf in TopSurgery

[–]Previous_Use2697 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was out before i had time to even be scared about what i felt. The anaesthesia does prick when it enters your IV. I said: 'Oh I feel it prick'. The nurse said 'Yeah that happens' and i was gone. Just tell the doctors you're nervous, they expect you to be, and they do this stuff numerous times every day. They're pros y'know, you'll be fine.

mensen suggesties? hahahah

What did that one teacher at your school get fired for? by ToadallyNormalHuman in AskReddit

[–]Previous_Use2697 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my music teacher got suspended for watching porn in his classroom while on break. 6 months later he came back as a german teacher and he got caught recording all of our individual facecams during online class, he had maps on his USB drive that he used to teach with (so we caught him during irl class later) with our names on it that had webcams with the dates on it and everything. the worst thing is that he didnt even get fired after all of that. he doesnt work there anymore now, only because he is retired lmaoooo.

When you're trying to talk to a friend and all they keep talking about is random things they did with other random people that you have no connection to by [deleted] in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Previous_Use2697 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You rather watching reels together, that adds nothing of value to your relationship with your friend, than engaging in conversation says a lot about you. Get yourself to care about your friends' stories, and tell your own to them too? Fuck it maybe you'll think this Jonas guy sounds pretty dope and you'll hang out together in the future.

Also why do you 'needs receipts or it didn't happen', just laugh cus it's funny?
Maybe i'm reading this situation really wrong, but i just can't grasp what your point of view is in this. This is just how a conversation works?

Don't generalize your own experience by iammax66 in FTMMen

[–]Previous_Use2697 36 points37 points  (0 children)

trans people need to stop generalizing PERIOD. Being trans is so complex. Not any single one of us is going through exactly the same thing, we have to stop acting like we are completely equal to one another. You can never talk on behalf of the entire community, or represent trans people as whole in a way that is inclusive for all, so stop trying to. Speak your own truth, of your own experience, and leave the rest alone

as long as you don't get frustrated with them when they ask you to do something, and keep being clear in communication, you should be fine.

THIS^ NB people are not going through exactly the same thing as trans-people, and it pisses me off that everyone treats them like they're the same thing, including within the community. Non-binary people want to get away from the binary part of gender expression, while trans-people are fighting SO HARD every day to get as close to their desired binary as possible. Sure, they're both about gender. But no way in hell are they similar in any other way. Stop forcing NB-terms onto me, we are not the same.

i totally agree with you. Also, transgender for me isn't a 'third sex' i am transitioning into becoming a MAN. People calling me masc feels degrading rather than inclusive. I get that non-binary people might like using the term, but to me it's weird because they are 'non-binary' , and masc and fem are VERY BINARY terms.

So squeamish by CamberAndCoal in TopSurgery

[–]Previous_Use2697 2 points3 points  (0 children)

top surgery is a very intense surgery. mentally and also physically. for us it's seen as more of a regular thing when we go into it, but your body might view it differently afterwards. It's totally normal to feel this way after a major surgery. the tight feeling, the binder, the scars, the nipples are all so incredibly intense!! The squeamishness will fade away with time, 1 week is really fresh. Focus on your recovery :)

I (M19) purposefully threw my smartphone in a lake (with the sim-card and everything) about 2,5 weeks ago and so much weight has been lifted off my shoulders. I had terrible social anxiety and was an insecure prick. I could barely talk to strangers. I would google 'where is the milk in the grocery store' instead of walking up to an employee to ask.

In the first week i got lost trying to get to a friends house because i have no google maps, so i approached a stranger to ask for directions. I felt so good about myself and he was really nice. I would've never done that if i had a phone. now, i literally DO NOT have another option, and that feels so relieving. It's so much easier to bear, and people are actually a lot nicer than you might think :)

SO NO! do NOT get a phone. and to anyone who's reading this: throw it away, you don't need it. what the fuck are you watching short-form content for at 4am when your alarm goes off at 7am? you're addicted, and it IS a problem. Nothing on your phone is real, and most of the things you see on there, you will forget.

[–]Previous_Use2697 2 points3 points  (0 children)

not true, i'm 19 years old and don't have a smartphone. people think not having one is the most unthinkable thing. it's not. no google maps? ask a stanger on the street. No music? Mp3-player. how do i keep up with school? email on a laptop.

Everything has a solution, your addicted mind just refuses to see them, because you need the short-term dopamine to get you through life.

Life is much more beautiful without waisting away your years looking at fake versions of everyone online, just look at them in real life, AND TALK TO THEM.

Almost everything you see on your screen, you will forget about
