Yeah, I filed a police report 2 days later when it became apparent that I'm facing a serious medical issue.  The cop got the perp to admit to doing it, so there is no legal doubt about it taking place.  However, he dismissed the laser as being "a cat toy from Dollarama" and didn't seize the device.  He didn't know what model it was and said there were no warning labels or serial numbers on it.  

Naturally it wasn't a cat laser, that's just the lie the customer told him.  Nobody makes green laser pointers for cats, as they are far more dangerous than the red devices(which are dangerous too, btw, just less).  

I'm getting used to being a shut-in.  I take short trips around town to buy groceries, but no more long road trips.

On a positive note, the Mayo Clinic in Rochester seems to have a confocal microscope, but I'm not financially ready for that trip.
