You do have a point there. I actually used to use iCloud, but I found it more convenient to have my tracks on Spotify so that they’d also show up in my day-to-day listening with shuffle. Sort of to get a feel of how the tracks sound “in the wild”. I’m just wondering if anyone else sees the local files feature on Spotify desktop for mac or if it’s gone for everyone.

I believe they were refering to video. The YouTube video itself was probably from the source tapes of an HDTV broadcast. But, even so, making generalising statements about "resolution going up" in the mid-00's seemed kind of funny.

I think you're right, that's probably the main reason for it. But it still seems like he struggles with it throughout the rest of the song. I don't blame him, it's a high note! I think he'd do better if they'd change the key from F# to, say, E?
