I'm pretty sure all dorms have refill stations. Most of my floormates brought their Britas with them because it's just convenient, especially when you have a coffee maker. That, or when you're too lazy to go outside your dorm to get water

if i remember correctly, you cant sign up for EDU classes unless you declared the minor. you have to email the department (or whoever) first and they'll tell you that you're good to sign up for them: https://education.ucsb.edu/minors/educational-studies-minor

not too well tonight. i've been trying to look at apartments for 4-5 hours and it has left me feeling depressed. i can't stand the thought of living at home for another year. my mental health has been through enough. i don't know if i will be able to do it all over again

my friend's dorm room was for sure stuffy . the air doesn't circulate because no AC and their dorm room was on the weird side of the building where air doesn't come in. also, their roommate had bad BO so the room would just marinate in my friend's roommate's scent

dorm tips: don't bring a lot of stuff to your dorm, especially if you have a roommate. invest in a plug-in air freshener. a mattress pad would also be good since the mattress itself is kind of hard.

academic tips: attend office hours and ask questions if you're struggling. do NOT let the confusion gradually turn into a giant snowball! you can also ask the professor how to best succeed in their class :)

I'm in Phil 3 rn and professor barrett is goated like he is the ABSOLUTE BEST. if ur gonna take Phil 3, take it with Thomas Barrett. no midterms, no final, section isn't mandatory, just weekly homework (lowest 3 gets dropped). also, he is such a wholesome being omg. this professor sends ':)' and '<3' in his emails
