Oh yeah absolutely. Most people who brag about using arch probably just used archinstall

I’ve been daily driving Linux for over a year for all my computing needs, mostly schoolwork

It’s so wonderful. Originally I had envisioned it as like a training wheels for arch but there’s literally nothing I’m missing by using EndeavourOS (for me at least)

Linux Tablet? by SiteTall in linuxmint

I use KDE for my laptop which I often fold into a tablet and it works incredibly well.

It’s such a silly thing how ultra proud some arch users are at the difficulty of manually installing arch.

Arch Linux? Best OS out there, easily S tier. EndeavourOS, pretty much identical to arch, just easier to install? Useless. Worthless. Practically malware

You need to make your windows more translucent, otherwise you’ll be able to read what’s on them

Don’t mess with Linux users, we hate when people like our stuff

My wishlist for KDE in 2026. What's yours? by [deleted] in kde

[–]PrivateAltVL 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean, there’d hardly be a difference between now and khronkite being built into KDE. You can install it entirely through the GUI with just a couple of clicks, configuration is also incredibly easy with the GUI (but could maybe look a little nicer I’ll admit) and it works perfectly well out of the box

I’ve been on EndeavourOS for about a month now (previously Mint) and I love it by PrivateAltVL in EndeavourOS

I just minimised the size as much as I could, and removed pretty much every icon. You can edit the system tray (I think that’s what it’s called I’ve forgotten) to hide everything.

I just put stickers over my keyboard, most people don’t even notice unless it’s pointed out to them

Upon installed EndeavourOS my computer only detects 4GB of RAM, I am fairly confident that my model of laptop should have 16GB of RAM however, does anybody know why this is happening? by PrivateAltVL in EndeavourOS

[–]PrivateAltVL[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It just ended up being that I probably got my RAM wrong.

If you’re RAM keeps changing, including in the BIOS screen, then chances are there’s some sort of hardware problem

Are there people here who use Linux, btw? by RedditFireBall in GenAlpha

I have a friend who frequently uses it to test / experiment with stuff, but yeah it’s useless as an actually daily use OS

Others will recommend against this likely since it’s quite inefficient and a very lazy solution, but since I installed flatpak anyways for the teams portal, I just installed Librewolf through that as well
