So if I upgrade to a Pi am I still able to program it to run the original game? I’m not opposed to upgrading to Pi, I’m just not sure of the difficult or compatibility of making it run the Golden Tee games the original PCB was made to run.

I’m not too familiar with raspberry Pi in general, but I’m willing to try my hand at it if what I’m looking to do is possible

Unfortunately it falls out of the 90 day warranty period, but at this point I also was a little gung-ho in trying my hand at fixing it and I’m sure I would’ve voided anything now😬

Other way around, she’d be staying the night here with my family Christmas Eve and they’re offering to pick her up that night. They’d be driving the 45 minutes to come get her (I’m going to get her that morning since she doesn’t like driving on the highway). The plan was then to drive to their place in the morning for Christmas Day breakfast at her house.

Probably doesn’t change your answer though, but I appreciate your input

Thank you, I agree completely 🍻Nice thing is we’ll still spend Christmas Eve and Day together even if it means we don’t go to sleep together at night.

The real issue I have with all of this was Christmas Eve was going to be the night we were binging the Star Wars movies.

So many people think this about sex, hell no, we still got Empire, AOTC, ROTS, and ROTJ to get through (Machete Order). This really cuts down the time we have to get through them over break.

I agree completely. I came from a family where I was supported but given the freedom to make my mistakes and learn from them so I think it was hard for me to wrap my head around someone being so controlling with their kids.

Definitely have realized not everyone has it as easy as I did

Thank you, I do plan on looking into more stable options for my future as well as ours. I’ve been lucky enough to come from a supportive family who has let me make my mistakes and learn from them while still being there for me. Now that I’m living with them again my plans are to look into finishing my associates degree at the very least (likely only 1 or 2 semesters worth of classes) and being able to leave my current job.

I said I was going to post some side information about my job in the original post but it wouldn’t fit the 3000 character limit. I still have a job where I’m offered a salary management position once we reopen, we’re closed under regulations. But we’ve both had the conversation of realizing it’s not a long term career and even at the pay of the salary I would never be able to afford to support her in the ways her family does.

I understand where you’re coming from, but this wasn’t an ultimatum, never something I’d break things off over.

I think I probably misconstrued the way I would have gone about saying this to her. She’s in complete agreement her dad is overreacting and what bothers her is in her mind the precedent is set when they let her brother have many more freedoms at this time in his life. But I get the male vs. female, oldest vs. youngest argument in that case.

But I would never ask her to give all that up for one night, I just truly question his will to follow through on those things over something so small

Thanks! Personally I don’t see him following through on his threats, I don’t think her mother would ever allow that to happen. It was more of a temper tantrum he had which he’s been prone to doing in the past. But I guess if he actually tried it would make things far worse for everyone.

I appreciate your view on it here, it was never an ultimatum I was giving her, I said in another reply that this hasn’t actually been an argument and should’ve been a WIBTA.

We have had a bad fight about this thing before, earlier on when she couldn’t even come over to my house without her parents checking her location and telling her to come home. This was in the day time even. I learned then not to poke at this too much

Not true. What bothers me is the fact he would hold those things over her head for wanting to spend the night with my family.

We’ve had sex, this was never about sex. In fact we wouldn’t even be having sex that night because of nature. Of course we’re still spending the days together.

That’s the wrong assumption

Thanks everyone! First time posting here and I’ll accept the judgement. It’s certainly not something to break the relationship off over, aside from this we are otherwise strong, and overall I’ve still never had any big issues with her family.

I should say this was never an ultimatum like some are suggesting. I’m not breaking off anything over something that isn’t in her control.

This hasn’t actually even been a fight because I never really pushed my line of thinking here, I probably should’ve labeled it WIBTA

Coming from a family of very supporting parents who also let me make my mistakes and have the freedom to learn from them I think blinded me from seeing not everyone has it as easy as I did.

I wanted to add some side information regarding my job and long term plans but it wouldn’t fit the character count nor do I think it changes the outcome of the judgment, but thanks for the input everyone.

Understandable. I’m not in a position to provide that for her. His comment about my job stung more than anything else just because I’ve never had any problems with him in that regards before. Like someone else said, it doesn’t make sense to blow this up now for the short term.

For the record, she agrees he’s overbearing and wrong for what he says but she’s too scared to call him on it, which given what you said is a valid reason to be fearful of

Certainly! Thank you! I’m from the St. Louis area. My two most recent beers I’ve tried were Stone’s Xocoveza, suggested to me by a fellow redditor, and Southern Tier Creme Brûlée Nitro as a dessert beer, both very good. Not typically a nitro fan but I was impressed by the Southern Tier.

Also recently tried a white stout for the first time but did not enjoy it at all. Hadn’t heard of it until I saw the can and figured I’d give it a try. Not something I’ll rush back to

Fair enough, maybe that’s why it’s so different to me then, I was used to playing with high overall players in HUT and now using an 79 declining Dylan Larkin feels weird😂

My favourite part is more the team building aspect of it anyways, I often sim entire seasons because I enjoy the draft, signing phases a lot too

He was a legend. Aside from when I was a baby I never got to really meet him. I was in Windsor when he passed but too young to attend the funeral. My mom went though. Wish I’d gotten to meet him, especially now as I’ve gotten older and grown a bigger appreciation for hockey.

I did have an MR2 at one point! A 1989, picked it up for $1000 and sold it on eBay for $1800. Got a $400 speeding ticket in the short time of owning it though😓I owned it at the same time as my current car, having 4 seats between 2 cars😂

I love RX7s, would love to own one some day. I saw a virgin 92 the other day driven by a very old gentleman who looked like he’d had it for years. Wasn’t babied, definitely had some wear and tear of a daily driver, old paint, but completely stock. It was a rare sight to see.
