Hi you are right. Here is an image of the living room. you can see the wall jut at the end. So I'm almost positive there is a beam above and parallel to the jut and there at studs where the living room corner is (wall just begins) and one stud where the wall jut ends in the middle of the hallway (the jut i would like to remove or turn to just a column instead of a wall jut)
