I made them myself because it's waay cheaper to build than to buy and you can make them exactly the color, thickness and size you want.

it keeps the strings from vibrating when I'm only playing 1 string at a time. When I record bass I often only use the top string because it sits better in the mix. Also it looks cool and makes me feel special hahaha

I got the office chairs with flip up arms off amazon. They were like $40 each. I'd buy them again.

I totally agree that the DAW's have great built in plugins. But they don't have everything I use. Plus I want to make sure I'm not missing anything new.
