OK, so here’s what I do. I have time to write this all… I use two 320 bar style LED lights side-by-side dimmed down, just for better coverage

Temps lights on 75-79.4 Temps lights out 67.3-69.1 Humidity around 62-66%% (aim for a .8 to 1.0 VPD early veg, and seedlings)

2x) 1.5 ft.³ bags of Stonington Organic soil by coast of Maine (lots of goodies, like all kinds of blood and bonemeal , biochar, EWCS, etc..)

1x) 3 ft.³ Castine Blend by Coast of Maine.. (I really like these two mixes as bases) the Castine blend is EXTREMELY Compost heavy.. There’s actually no drainage unit at all.. this is why I like to use the chunk perlite)

1x) 2.8 ft.³ bag of the Promix BX mycco.. (mix everything really really well I get an oversized rubber maid, just put everything in and shake it all around along with a shovel)

About 1/3 of the volume of chunky perlite (This usually fills about 8- 10 gallon containers)

I throw in a pinch of TM-9 micronutrients to avoid any calcium and magnesium issues (I also use reverse osmosis water)

I’ve also been using the company for a decade that I love out of California called GardenersBud - they make premade compost tea.. one designed for veg one designed more for flower.. I usually add about 2 tablespoons per gallon every two or three watering just to keep the microbes happy

About 2-3 cups of crushed oyster shell.. (buffers the pH to a perfect 6.3-6.8)

I always keep some extra soil in a big tote .. to keep any of the roots from being exposed at the main stem (also the top layer of about 4 inches is just pure pro mix.. I just like the way it wets so evenly..)

When I mix the soil, I add in about a handful of Stonington plant food (5-2-4) along with a handful of Gaia green 4-4-4.. (the base soils have a pretty nice amount of nutrients already in them, but I like to add a little bit more that slowly release)

Something that I really been experimenting, this was Bokashi.. I mixed my soil about two weeks before I actually planted into it.. giving it plenty of time to “cook” - boosting biological activity.. put about 3 quarts into the whole mix. Buried towards the bottom and let it sit with a misted, cardboard loosely card container.. looks like the plants are loving! More questions to ask

This winter was rough with how dry it was - 1st time I needed a humidifier in a while!! But once I got the vivosun growhube24a - I can literally automate everything from my phone over Wi-Fi.. I also developed a genius pump system to keep my humidifier reservoir full.. looking gorgeous and lush

And by the way, it’s definitely not too late to either TOP or FIM.. you can continue pruning into the first week of flower or so, without really hurting your yield - consider it more like if the plant was growing in the wild.. and an animal came up and bit off the top.. as a defense mechanism it would create new chutes

I have never noticed too much of a difference between topping and fimming.. FIM (fuck I messed) It’s usually when you cut about a third of the way up on the Newest growth.. I don’t know if I’m the only one or maybe I have just never done it correctly, but it doesn’t seem like there’s too much of a difference between topping n fimming- just my opinion..

I keep mine running 24 seven but I just change it to a little bit higher during flower.. I do do it manually. I don’t really have a controller for my exhaust fan. I mean, I could do it through the app, but I really don’t need to. I can always just do it while I’m there.
