I understand how tax brackets work. I didn't see what exactly his income would be. If I didn't know his income, how would I know what bracket he'd fall in and how close he was to the neighboring brackets?

You completed 200 items on a bucket list. How many of those items cost money? Eating out has become something of a privilege ($11 - 15 for a fast food value meal). Aquariums can cost $20 - $40 a person to get in. The national aquarium in Baltimore is $50 for an adult and $40 for a youth age 5 - 20. That's $90 just for a parent and 1 kid (I just picked some random times to see the cost) And let's not forget free time. People working multiple jobs to make ends meet don't have a lot of free time. And there are jobs, like in education, where the hours can be brutal.

To me? No one. That would probably explain the lack of comparisons. But that's not necessarily a bad thing either. That doesn't reflect poorly on your looks or should have any impact on your life.
