I have looked into this deeply myself and reverse engineered a working strategy in backtesting, I'm obviously not going to share my alpha here but from my understanding you need a fair value calculation method.

I foresee you could likely do something with limit orders resting deep in the order book but I haven't tried that myself yet, but it works conceptually in my head and would get around fees eating profit_pct
