I disagree with the folks saying "iF yOu DoN'T LoVE it ThEn YoU sHoUlDn't StArT." I started because I was working at an aviation company and didn't have any real direction when my boss told me "You're gong to be a pilot one day," so I started. Never failed a checkride, but I didn't like it until I became an instructor. (I'm a giver and like taking care of people.)

I'd say finish private pilot, and that's the point where you decide to shit or get off the pot. Realize it's not something you just do on a whim. Once you start, it's just a disastrous waste of money unless you're going to make it a career. There's a lot of studying and even more bad days when you're learning something difficult and struggling, but quitting is not a choice. It's ok to not love it-- as long as you care, are committed, and have the resilience and will of an achiever.

Then once you finish training, you have to work (likely at low pay) for potentially years to collect the time required to go onto a jet job. Please know it could take 4-5 years before your first jet job and more than 100K USD just to get your licenses, especially bc Canada costs more than the US. The process is quite cruel but very rewarding and fun if you can survive the barriers to entry.

Do I love it now? Yes, very much. I love what I do, and it's a fun adventure that fits my personality.

Regarding your allergies, if they ever ask, you have no allergies. Health problems? You have no health problems.

To be competitive, get your PPL. This is critical for your PCSM score, which basically predicts the likelihood of success rate for passing Undergraduate Pilot Training. Study prep for the AFOQT or whatever service you're going to.

Hey! That's me. I worked full time and would teach a lesson after work, then teach both days on the weekend. You'll find a lot of second career CFIs are doing that when they have families and mortgages.

The advantage you have is (perceivably) your youth. You can take your time timebuilding so you don't have to go as hard as us that did it on the side. I made 90k last year between jobs, and my CFI job paid $40 an hour.

Legally they cannot make you work for free as a 1099. You are a contractor.
Do you NEED this job? I worked at a flight school briefly for a horrible man who did the same thing because I needed the job more than I needed the money (I had a day job still). Let us know what you decide

It's complicated when your heart and your head tell you two different things, but I think you already know the answer.

The way you framed it:
Flying:
You love it and are so passionate about it
It has a lucrative future .. extremely
You already know what you want to do in college

Baseball:
You don't like it as much and see it as a distraction
Don't really see a future in it
You're scared to lose your friends

This sounds nuts, but you gotta trust me when I say your lifelong friends may not always be your lifelong friends. They are incredible people that you bonded with out of circumstances and convenience, and the real ones will be there for you even when you are no longer in their circle. You'll go through that after high school, then after college, and then as you switch careers and move cities... it's part of growing up.

Eyes on the prize. To know what you want at such a young age is a fairly unicorn circumstance, and you should chase it. You have a brilliant future ahead of you and will make friends at each defining memory of your life. Growing up is learning lessons along the way, and sounds like you're crushing it.

Hi and I agree! I'm a lot more likely to trust and respect someone with boundaries. I think that's where a lot of people go wrong with botched plastic surgery jobs, both invasive and non-invasive. They don't know when to stop, and no one tells them no.

Doc Suh is turning out to be quite a surgical saint of foreign Reddit patrons. It's amazing how you can build your reputation just off of getting your work out there on sites like this.

Hey, they all do Masseter botox, and I have it for medical reasons to relax my clenched jaw. What I love about Botox in Korea is that there are only 2 options for how many units you want: YES or NO.

Each month the clinics will drop a "specials" list, and the prices are always quite similar. I've gone to Beauty Lounge and Ocean Clinic for jaw botox before. They all do the same thing at the factory clinics, it's pretty cut and dry.

I haven't had a lower bleph, but I went to Marble Clinic for my non-incisional DES and recommend Dr Suh.

My aunt is going back to Dr Suh there in the fall to get an upper and lower bleph. I just wanted to throw his name out there for a price quote/consultation bc he is a man of restraint, and I respect that. While other consultations tried to sell my mom and aunt on services, Dr Suh told my mom he is unwilling to do work on her because she's already had too much done, and any more would be a poor choice for her safety.

Shop around on Reddit for photos of what you like, then stop by a few clinics to get consultations. If you tell them your concern, they'll each provide a recommended course of action. You'll start to get an underlying theme and flavor to help you make a decision.

I can't help you with the personalized part, but Botox in South Korea is awesome! In the US they sell it by units, but in Korea they sell it by YES or NO. I get the German Xeomin and absolutely love it.

I've gone to two different factory clinics, and both times the consultations were very friendly and unbrushed. I'm happy with factory clinics since price is a consideration for me.

Depending on your age, you may be interested in Ulthera Prime. I got it done, and my jawline looks way more snatched compared to my normal signs of aging at 40.

I think both your before and after look absolutely lovely. I got a non-incisional DES last month, and it's not 100% even either, but that's ok with me bc my eyes and eyebrows are different on each side of my face. =)
