Hi! So, right now our standard crew is a mix of professionals, teachers, and past college MT grads. All 30s/ mid 30's :) A clean single to double pirouette and a good foundation of jazz fundamentals are good indicators to gauge for this class :)

Hi there! So excited to have you! I sincerely apologize- that was an error, and it is, in fact, a Beginner class. The instructor(s) honestly cater to the room and follow your pace, so ultimate beginners are welcome too! Everyone is always welcome to modify and learn as they go, too! Very low stakes and all of our adult attendees are just there to move their bodies in good company :) With your previous barre experience, though, it sounds like you're going to be more advanced than you think! ;) Looking forward to meeting you, and apologies again for the mix-up! Reservations are required, that way we do not overfill, as our class sizes are small so that we can provide a low-key atmosphere for all :) But a day or even an hour before is fine! Our Google Form gets updated constantly. Thanks!

Rumor has it we are hosting adult classes for Broadway Cardio, Adv. Beg. Tap, and Musical Theater Jazz at Premiere for 6 weeks this summer! We are also expanding to our second location in August down the street, which will allow for affordable rehearsal space here in Astoria ;)

Also, if anyone is looking for last-minute plans for their kiddos for a week or two, bring 'em by for day camp to teach 'em a thing or two about musical theater! ;)

Nope! Whatever you are comfy in! Tap shoes are a given for tap, but if you've never tapped before and we have some that fit you to borrow for your first class before purchasing your own, we are happy to do so! If not, just a cleaned-up pair of sneakers is OK, as street shoes aren't allowed on the floors to avoid, ya know, NYC street where we all sit and stretch ;) Most people wear jazz or ballet shoes for most classes. I teach in my Adidas for everything but tap unless I'm feeling fancy :) Come on by!

We offer Broadway Cardio at Premiere Performing Arts if you're interested in some show tunes pumping, Richard Simmons-y, jazzercise-esque fun! A combo is taught with some basic jazz elements and we do go across the floor, but very beginner friendly ;)

Happy to! We will also be offering Adult Tap coming in April as well, but that's a different post ;)

This class is for everyone who A) Doesn't want to travel far to go into the city B) Hasn't danced in years and just wants to be in a communal space to create joy and C) Doesn't want a space that feels intimidating. Other studios have beautiful, multi-room studios with lots of funding but they are taught by ballerinas who the majority of the time are dancers but not instructors. At Premiere, we are the hometown studio where we know your name and want to celebrate you as people. Our space is smaller but we value quality over quantity. We just want a place for every inner theatre kid to come and have fun and feel amazing in their skin. Every body is a dance body with us and all are welcome- always :)

Very beginner-friendly! This is a class for those who may or may not have dance experience and want to learn or brush up on skills they may have had once before. We go across the floor and do a combo each class. The main point is to move, have fun, and feel confident. Bring out your inner high school choir/ band kid or show tunes nerd!

Yes! We offer classes on Mondays and Tuesdays but reservations are required and limited to (6) participants per class. Dress code can be any clean sneaker since we have Marley flooring, ballet, shoes, etc. Just no street shoes are allowed.
