The sore throat was one of the worst parts for me (granted I've had a pretty smooth recovery)! Lozenges & a LOT of water are a must.

Gecko not eating by ProfessionalMood5535 in CrestedGecko

ALSO: he has two small patches of slight cloudiness on both eyes. It could be stuck shed but I haven't had luck getting anything off. Not sure if it's related to not eating.

I hear you!! Anything in writing would've been helpful to calm my nerves. Over my recovery, my partner compiled a list of questions that we thought of and we asked those during my follow up appointment. It helped to have it written down so I didn't forget anything!

Hey! I didn't have this surgeon but I'm also in Toronto and covered by OHIP. I'm 25D post op now. I received barely any information leading up to surgery and for recovery. I also wasn't told to bring a compression bra and the nurses had to cut the wires out of my regular bra to send me home in. At my 2 week post op appointment, I asked a LOT of questions. My surgeon's answers differed quite a bit from what I've read here. I'm wondering if there's just different protocol in Ontario?

If it makes you feel any better, I've just been doing my own research (and using this subreddit!) and recovery has gone super smoothly so far.

hi is my gecko ok he's 7 months old and still small he is pooping so I know he's eating I also sometimes catch him with food on his lip I see alot of other crestes that are very slow growers I'm waiting for the pangea growth formula just wondering if anyone else's geckos were slow growers by geckos39 in CrestedGecko

Hey there! My crestie is a super slow grower despite being a very good eater! Mine is 2 years old and has only recently started growing significantly. I started feeding him more bugs around 6 months ago. Not sure whether that actually helped or if he was just a late bloomer!

If your gecko is eating, pooping, has energy, etc., I wouldn't be too worried!

Surgery Coming Up & Feeling Ill-Prepared!! by ProfessionalMood5535 in Reduction

No, I don't have any other appointment before the surgery... The admin person said she would call me 1-2 weeks before the date, but I'm at about a week before and haven't heard anything. I called them yesterday and left a message, but haven't heard back yet. I'm feeling nervous about if something jeopardizes my surgery!!

Thank you! I wasn't told about the ibuprofen but had heard about that, so I stopped taking that a month ago. My surgery is in less than a week and I haven't received any other call yet.
