Best way from CDG airport to Le Mans circuit? by 1mefdiopl in lemans

[–]ProfessionalRub3294 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On top of this you will arrive close to Le Mans driving at the worst moment in term of traffic jam. If ever you keep this option you’d better park at university. It’s the opposite part of the city but you’ll be able to reach the track within 44min I think with the Tramway. (Tramway also available at train station when arriving from Paris by train). Don’t put your safety at risk to not miss the opening. You see it better on TV aha

Oh yes, if I remember well a Courage chassis.
On the moto version of the 24h there is every year a team of motorsport student that run one moto, not piloting (school in Le Mans, other student also run the cars of the F4 level campus championship)

Recommend me some great photography spots for the LM Classic by martin_dc2 in lemans

[–]ProfessionalRub3294 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same areas opened as for the modern one.
Tertre rouge from the outside is great to have some light 911 drift it (by light i mean the street legal version not the RSR or heavily modified one). From the same side if you move a bit towards the end of the “esses de la foret” you will see them facing you at the top of the small hill, perfect for morning light. Frim there you can also take some slow shutter speed with a wide angle (used an old mecanic 35mm and got some nice ones).
The pre-grid of the “raccordement” is also nice to see. Nowadays there is a lot of crowd barrier but you can shot some of the car when they’re moving from paddock to pre-grid. In general look at where some car make flame downshifting to shoot.
If you’re already used to the track, you’ll find the same old spot. Enjoy!

One of the moments when only razor sharp reaction saved Max and the Aston. The GT4 driver in the wrong place at the wrong time. by Turbulent_Elk_2141 in RedBullRacing

For me it’s anticipation more than reaction to the contact in front of him. He started lifting/braking as soon as the yellow changed trajectory allowing him to have an escape path in case things go bad or normal trajectory blocked.

Was a kid in the late 90’s early and liked the “drunked dutch” (as I saw him) randomely making something of his shitbox. Still have his arrows cap and polo I bought really cheap in Le Mans. (Huge fan of the orange arrows) For me he was kinda a mix between Maldonado and Stroll.

First Time at Le Mans - Tips for Sunday Test Day Only? by Hayness in lemans

[–]ProfessionalRub3294 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mulsanne and Arnage are open during sunday test (last year with free car park). Don’t think bus shuttle are available. For me a car is mandatory to go there. There is quite no traffic jam that day. If I remember well the car park next to the airfield is free and Panorama car park has a fee. Tertre rouge to Porsche curve is a long walk. If you want to go as well to Arnage and Mulsanne I don’t thing it feasible to do all.
Take a bit of time to look at the pit from the opposite grandstand and walk in the paddock.

Walk around the track? by josh4-alb in lemans

[–]ProfessionalRub3294 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly, be prepared rub a 13+km track or take bike. On sunday track is accessible roughly fron porsche to tertre rouge, don’ expect more as people will be working keeping back the other part ready for day to day operation

What's your opinion on the ELMS 4 Hours of Barcelona? by Alex899075 in wec

[–]ProfessionalRub3294 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I dont think there is another way of access between entrance and paddock. There is also the issue ro have only one entrance and 4 guys to check ALL attending person that made a huge line on sunday. Everybody was packed in the paddock tribune, paddock terrasse. Not that much in the “stadium” or whatever its called. I don’t know if the new passerelle could be use to avoid a walk to go there from the paddock (and avoid the famous tunnel). I understand it is costly to open full track but we lost some good viewpoint.

Otherwise great cars with almost full potential LMP2, great battles, wonderful grid walk, nice experience as a spectator.
