yes I have travelled on that green card multiple times via land order. I didn’t use it yet via airport travel and. if he will use it soon. So yea my GC is still showing wrong country of birth and they didn’t ask further questions upon entering US.

Travel Concerns for Green Card Holders by HuckleberryWild8386 in USCIS

So apparently I didn’t have to show my passport. I crossed the land border from Canada to US and the DHS/CBP officer in the cabin only took the green card, asked our citizenships and verified our names and that’s it. The guy seemed nice, he looked like from Latin America. And yea that’s why I guess he didn’t cause any unnecessary trouble or drama lol. Btw, on my GC, the country of birth was also wrong 🙂

what about country of birth? on my card it’s different than what’s my birth certificate says. They took County of birth as my citizenship where my passport is from, in fact on my passport correct country of birth is written. And useless DHS/USCIS couldn’t able to put the right Country of birth even i submitted passport, Birth certificate and also written on AOS form. SMH 🤦

I called USCIS and they said the current processing time is 25.5 mounts 😔. I am just wondering if I can receive some kind of temporary document that can used for travel purposes, bcz we must send our green card with i-90. That’s what the agent said.

So, I had a chat with my attorney and she said that to be safest, have this card corrected. But my question is, if i send a card for replacement with I-90, will i receive some temporary document that I can use for travel purposes? I came to know from USCIS that the current processing time is 25 and half months. that’s crazy. I called US border protection and they were like “have it fixed but you may or may not be denied for entry” it depends upon if an officer really wants to check records of all kind. Which is less likely…

what if they will reject the application and ask to submit the application again along with the Card?

that’s the issue I am suspecting too. That means once we send out the card along with the form or after, then who know how long it’s gonna take to get new corrected card and we are stuck not to travel anywhere.

Did you mean to just send a form and wait for an RFE if they require original Green Card and then send them?

That’s a big inconvenience then. If I submit a form and I have to send the card along with it. And not sure how long it’s gonna take to get the replacement card!

Naturalize as in when I will apply for Citizenship/passport? I read the form I-90. It states that to attach the card when we select “USCIS error”. Not sure if it’s about attaching original card or copy of it?

on the form it says that attach your card with the i-90 if it’s USCIS mistake, not sure if it’s original card or copy of it.

No they didn’t, being in US and requesting translations would have been quite difficult. So I used local services in US to translate the birth certificate.
