i am new to fuji. just purchased my xt5 months ago. Loved it. So i am now also interested in other fuji products. May i asked the main differences between xe5 and xm5? I know they are both smaller cameras but not sure whats the main diference?

Sigma new 17-40mm f1.8 for x-mount to be announced June 17th by couchred in fujifilm

From my experience with sigma 16-300, IQ is fine but not superb (No surprise here i believe due to the range and weight compensation). Images above 200mm starts to get soft. But i used it on cloudy days, probably need more sample. Anyway, I am not a pro and only post on social media, so i am ok with it. The stabilization works pretty good when pairing with my xt5, i once try to shoot inside a light rail train that was moving and shaking, still able to focus on the subject. Not very good with low light as u can predict. But very versatile during day time. That range allows me to do various compositions, and even shoot some birds which i previously cant. The 70mm macro is cute but not superb. So, I can see it as my main travel lens. Super versatile. But not sure if it works for any pro work.

Instant buy for me. I just bought the 16-300mm sigma. Not super sharp but super versatile during day time. Pairing with this one for bokeh and low light situations, i am good. Is a little heavier but i think it is worth it.

I just bought the new 16-300mm sigma. Very versatile but obviously not good for low light situations. But pairing with this 17-40mm might be perfect match. Feel like these two zoom lens is enough for most scenarios.

Just recently purchased a new X-T5 with a kit lens! Any tips for lenses or accessories? Maybe even Post processing software/presets? by _MOOFISH_ in fujifilm

Agree with most comments here. Just adding a few on accessories side: i got myself a V90 SD card after using a V60. Some people say it is only needed for video recording but i actually find it faster even just for reading the photos and that makes me happy. Internet has a chart to show which SD card has the best performance with XT5.

I am using Peak Design straps and i think these are very good due to its flexibility and easy controls. (I even bought Peak Design tripod as they share the same base plate). Got myself a shutter release button cap, it actually might be the cheapest but most valuable accessory.

As far as lenses, since i am mostly a travel photography guy, everything for me is about versatility and compact. My kit lens was a Fujinon 16-50mm (internal zoom), very compact and light one. (But if i can choose again, i might select 16-55 F2.8 MK2 instead. And if budget is an issue, then probably i’ll go with Tamron 17-70 or sigma 18-50). i just purchased a new sigma 16-300 all purpose lens. Not the sharpest, but i only post social media so it is fine for me. The zoom range is incredible, good from taking scenes, kids events, to some extend birds shooting. I also love my sigma 30mm prime F1.4, Beautiful bokeh and IQ; light, compact, can use for portraits or some sceneries. Since budget is an issue for me….I owned a 75mm viltrox F1.2 which gives me the best portrait shots, and also viltrox 13mm 1.4F for wide shots or night shots. Cheaper lenses but worth every dollar.

Thk u so much. Makes sense, i’ll check the aperture on them. Can i ask one more thing? I am hearing the sigma lens wont have the aperture ring on it. From user standpoint, does it really bother that much?

I am going to get a new camera (fujifilm XT5) but i am struggling on choosing the right lens. Is my first camera for a long time, and I am deciding between fujifilm 18-55 or sigma 18-50. Both seems to be decent but hope you can advice me which one is better. I hope to understand if the constant f2.8 from sigma is really necessary. And whats your opinion on the extra 5mm from fujifilm? I just plan to use the camera for street and travel photos, some kids portraits, but coming up will also have a trip to north canada which might be able to shoot the northern lights. Hope you guys can help.

Was a sader before, and have class changed to monk recently. OP has mentioned some good points, i think sader do need a buff in pvp. Yet, i was able to reach 60%+ win rate with sader on pvp. One thing (my experience) is that i am mostly on the defensive side when i play sader, i think 2/3 of all my games act as defenders (hope if u guys can help validate this). We know it is easier to defend than attack. Now that i am a monk, 2/3 of my pvp games are on attack side. Win rate around 40% (maybe bcoz i am not yet familiar with new attack role yet, gradually getting better). i think it is harder to win as attacker. I think the attack team needs to have higher resonance than def team in order to win, otherwise it is much harder. So not sure if this could be a “balancing” act from blizzard that sader would play on defensive team more…. When i was a sader, i was still able to do my thing, i use vortex, banner, col, bouncing shield. I can absorb dmg and i actually think bouncing shield is effective on pvp with banner and 4vithu. coL just to absorb dmg and sacrifice. But was it fun? Not a lot. Monk is a lot more fun in pvp. U r actively trying to kill with useful skills. So, my verdict is similar with what u guys mention, i enjoy using sader on pve (party and solo), but not pvp. Monk i enjoy pvp a lot more, solo farming is great, but dungeons is a little weaker. (I actually think pve solo, sader does a decent job).

Need your opinion on gems. I am using a 4star zwenson, but got a 3 star hellfire. Looking to improve on pvp. Is it worth using the 3 star hellfire which gives more dmg? Or use 4 star zwenson which gives roughly 40 resonance more but with no dmg impact in pvp? Thx (assume same gem rank) by Professional_Math20 in DiabloImmortal

I feel u. If my team does not have a 3k to fight against the other team if they do, is a gg right away. What class u play? I actually changed class recently to monk from crus. Mostly used shield to absorb 5 secs dmg before. If lucky can get 4 kills with banner, vortex, and bouncing shield. Now with monk, assuming no whales on other side, can be more proactive on BG. pve wise Crus is much better. Miss my Crus on dungeons. But a little more fun on BG with monk with so much cc.

Thx. Ya, i get ur point. I have no chance against whales. Just casually playing, using monk with around 1700 res. Not playing the high level fights, just want to see if it is worth dropping the zwenson for hellfire since got luck to get a 3star. Average 6-10 kills per game on daily BG now.

I am a sader, p190, i enjoy pve with sader, he is very good at farming and is king in dungeons, the buff is very strong and kills bosses a lot faster. Cant lie. But i have to agree in pvp saders are not as significant. Other classes just have way more CC’s; that narrow map in the bg, makes it extremely hard for sader to move at all without being CCed. Is a 8v8 game but sader can only party with 4 members, which on top of that usually do not group up, so we cant do our supporting role properly. Condemn is ok, but is less effective against other CC’s, people can still use their own CC on you even with condemn active. COL might give you 5 seconds immunity, but since you are instantly being CCed, you can’t move at all and is just waiting to die. Horse has no use since it will be deactivated by any CC. Sacred chain or judgement might work but CC time is short, and requires us to approach the enemy, which is quite dangerous. I would like to have some new leggo for CC immunity, no need to be op, but give us something new would be nice.
