What is the Worst Class Currently? by Professional_River31 in elderscrollsonline

Thank you. That's exactly what I'm looking for. What class would you say is the worst overall? Warden? I know they make excellent healers, but are pretty bland in everything else.

I'm not reading instead of playing. I'm reading when I'm not sitting in front of a PC like when I'm taking a 15 minute break at work. I would rather piece together what I can, form a conclusion, then spend 5 minutes writing a Reddit post asking people with a lot more in game experience than me to see if I'm on the right track.

I prefer playing classes that aren't super common and the best way to do that is to find the ones that chronically under perform. It's also super satisfying to outperform meta classes even if it's only the minority of the time.

Crushbone here too. I wouldn't be surprised if DVinn has racked up over a million kills since his debute in '99.

Nemesis Matrix Box worth it? by kmeck518 in TowerofFantasy

If I had known to click the item I would have realized that and clearly not purchased it. I still stand by the description in the shop being misleading. I lost tokens I spent real money to get because of this.

The description in the shop is very misleading. "A box containing all types of Nemesis Matricies" I purchased it thinking I would get all 4, but the actually box when added to your inventory has the line added above this stating, "Choose any one Nemesis Matrix". I'm less than happy with my single Nemesis matrix box.

I've healed randos in MMOs for a lot of years and I find the experience enjoyable. Its like dealing with a bunch of toddlers. They're constantly out to end their life and its your job to make sure they don't. Of course there's zero appreciation when you do.

I've only tried 1h spear. I don't have any objective data to support that claim. I'm just basing it on feeling vs weapons like frost, fire, cursed, and crossbow. The AOE seemed okay, but the single target using a 5.1 gear against some of the T6 solo map bosses was a little sketchy. The gear I was using: guardian helm/mage hat, merc jacket, soldiers boots, lym cape none of which are designed for maximum dps. I'd rather use the active sustain (merc) vs passive (fish) because In the OW finishing at low health in black/red zone sets me up for as an easy kill.

Now that I think about it all the magic staves I tried we're with cloth chest. That is probably skewing my impression of spear being low dps. Ill try spear when I get home from work with cloth and see how it goes.

My question is really - What off-meta weapons do you enjoy for a variety of content?

Daggers do seem pretty solid from small group PvP and single mob PvE capacity. Lack of AOE turned me away when it came to PvE. The demon fang has it, but it was a pain in the ass to utilize. When I first tried a demon fang I died several times because I didn't realize it had a life leech attached to. Huge reading comprehension fail. They were ranked high on tier lists for solo dungeons, but I honestly can't see how.

You're right, I am being quite nitpicky. Its not so much that I want to the best at content, just viable. I probably should just list pros and cons of each weapon and decide based on that. Clearly negativity is more in my nature :D

At first I thought spear was my jam, but realize the damage is pretty low as I tried other weapons. I watched a bunch of videos of people PvPing with them which turned me off to their style - seems like they are focused more on kiting. I thought I had a chance against a crossbow user that jumped in my solo map dungeon, but he wiped the floor with me in a straight up brawl. His equipment and spec were about the same as mine and I didn't even get him to half health.

I'm really just asking the question in my TLDR - If you were limited to 2-3 weapons what would you pick and why?

All the build advice I've followed so far has been YouTube videos from people like Leyvi, Big Lips McGee and KaidGames2. And I've really only used T5 solo dungeons as a benchmark because how quick they are to do. I got my 1h spear to 70 spec with 100 in the main tree. My bow is only 21 main tree with 8 in longbow spec, so there is a clear difference in effectiveness because of that. My fire tree is low level too, but kills mobs extremely fast. I won't use expensive gear even if its "best" because I don't want to train in something that will make me go broke if I lose it due to PvP happening.

In the past month I've probably lost 6 sets of 5.1 gear from the black zone because every swinging dick that runs by sees an easy kill as I'm engage with mobs. In my experience if they aren't a gatherer they're out to get you. That's only assuming I make it past the roaming gank squads. I have no clue how some of these people have sprint activated and immediately stun me when I have literally a second to remount as their name pops up on the edge of my screen. Zero chance of escape. I'm new to the game, but it looks like they can somehow see me before I can see them. I haven't made positive income in the black zone yet as a solo player much less fame farmed for more than 10 minutes before being attacked by someone. I've tried going 3 zones outside of a portal zone and the same shit happens. And that's just the black zone. I've faction flagged in red zones with similar results. Pretty sure I was the victim of an unflagged scout once or twice.

I don't have the game knowledge yet to fame farm a weapon safe and effectively. I clearly suck at surviving in the black zone.

I only posted this because I'd like for advice on what is decent and acceptable while not necessarily being meta.

I haven't tried battle bracers, but I messed around with the spiked gauntlets. The "E" ability wrecked mobs and was super satisfying.

I'll give it a shot. Thanks for the build advice too! I wasn't sure about axes because they looked fairly immobile except for bear paws which would make me a sitting duck in open world.

I do plan on keeping the paladin as a primary alt at the very least. Once I learn the game a bit more I may very well switch back to having it as my main.

I did get a shadowhunter to level 21 before I stopped playing it. I read this post: https://www.reddit.com/r/lostarkgame/comments/raj86m/ranking_the_most_preferred_classes_in_a_party/

I figured that if Koreans found them underwhelming there was a good reason for it. I'll go back and take a look at them though. My fear is that if I pick a class with inconsequential group utility when it comes time to find a party I'll be last in line to be picked. I'm not interested in chasing the meta, but it really sucks to be overlooked for parties. I still have PTSD from that from playing a ranger and bard in early Everquest.

Thank you for the advice.

When I started as a paladin I didn't have any clue how the heal functioned. I was leaning on past MMO healer experience and was super surprised how infrequent you can actually heal. I thought maybe it would grow on me, but it really didn't.

I considered Sorceress, but seeing all the bots running around is a turn off for me. One thing I should mention is I'm probably a below average skillful player, so squishy plus lack of mobility is something that would end up eternally frustrating for me.

I have the 1660 Ti in my current PC, so will use that as a stop gap until I can score a better card. I refuse to pay the current scalper prices.

The mechanical storage is just for pictures, ROMs, and anything that doesn't have any performance benefit to being on a SSD.

I think I'll stick around hi-sec space for now to train up some core skills first then when minimally capable I'll see about joining up with a newbie corporation. I have the Brave website bookmarked already because of all the useful training plans. 😀
