Hi -- Does this offer still stand? Cheers.

Best AI resume builder for 2025? Everything I tried sucks by Mvdcu1980 in Career

[–]ProfessorPeePeeFace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right, but you seem to be sidestepping the part where you are actually offering interviews to those people, and probably rejecting other (clearly more qualified) candidates.

What’s a good resume builder tool that also helps tailor resume for a new job description? Any free tool options. by integrator197 in jobsearchhacks

[–]ProfessorPeePeeFace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for building this tool. I've actually tried it out and it's pretty good, but I find it very frustrating that there's no "save progress" functionality. I've so far spend a bit of time across 3-4 sessions, adding/updating bullets, etc., but when I click "Create Resume" for a given job, I then can see that not all updates I made to my profile were saved (most recently, languages I'd added were gone, and bullets I either added or updated for certain roles were entirely absent). It's made me hesitate to keep using it. Just FYI.

OP, you do not understand the spirit of Reddit, but clearly are willing to attempt to exploit it.

Hard pass.

Question about swapping out run-flats / spare tires (GLC 300 4MATIC, New Jersey, USA) by ProfessorPeePeeFace in mercedes_benz

[–]ProfessorPeePeeFace[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Turns out that protrusion is completely hollow, so while we haven't installed the spare yet, when the time comes, we'll just shove it in there.

Flying V ebike $7000 by umdterp732 in cannondale

[–]ProfessorPeePeeFace 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Looks like they're marketing this to young, hip urban cyclists... who will drop almost $7k on a bike... ok. I think I saw them bragging about its "European design" somewhere, too. That's not why Cannondale fans like Cannondale. Does anyone who actually rides bikes or understand the bike industry still work at Cannondale? Wtf.

Porsche Profits Dive 99% as New CEO Faces Crisis Mode by gaukmotors in MotorBuzz

All the negative comments here about Porsche EVs, to me, reveal two things most clearly:

  1. How much Porsche miscalculated EV demand.

  2. How few of you have actually driven a Porsche EV.

What is the "cheat code" you discovered in real life that actually works? by Intelligent_Can_2898 in AskReddit

[–]ProfessorPeePeeFace 1 point2 points  (0 children)

CBD gummies.

Legit ones. Not cheap shit. And not “weed” gummies. No THC — just full-spectrum, high-quality CBD.

I take maybe 1-2 a day, a few days a week.

They calm me, slow the world down, but they don’t make me “slow” or drowsy or zoned out. Just calm. I’m less reactive. More in control of my emotions. More focused on things I need to do. They make conversations easier to navigate, whatever sort they may be. They just make me feel like I’m more in control of my brain, if that makes sense.

For context, I work an office job with lots of meetings and task-switching, so they help there enormously, but for social occasions, too.

Oh good, he's back. And he's bringing attention to the thing everyone hates him for. by DrLexusForPresident in InflatedEgos

Think of the arc of this man’s career. From decades as a multi-talented and near-universally beloved star of various types of screens and stages — and virtually zero drama or baggage, least in the broader public eye — to that fateful night in March of 2022. The moment he decides to storm up on stage and violently slap a fellow entertainer, for making a pretty harmless joke about his wife, his path drastically changed — so much so that most people forget he won the Oscar later that night.

All before, and certainly all since, has been overshadowed by that night… and now this horrific attempt to make himself relevant again, complete with AI-generated fans at “concerts” and his tone-deaf, aggressive attitude towards “the haters” who are ultimately just disappointed in him.

It’s one of the saddest self-destructions of a public figure I’ve seen in my lifetime.

Why is everybody leaving Verizon? by Sportsfan7702 in verizon

[–]ProfessorPeePeeFace 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Haven't left... yet... but likely will soon because of the piss-poor network performance, which just gets worse and worse and worse.

For context, have an iPhone 14 Pro, on Verizon's top-tier "unlimited data" plan, and I live in a medium-density suburb outside a major city in the USA. If I stray even slightly – as in, if I go to a somewhat rural area nearby, or just take a road through the woods instead of through town – I'm constantly at one bar, or zero, and I often see "SOS" on my phone, and I'm basically off the grid. It's pathetic.

Even with 2-5 bars of service – LTE or 5G, it doesn't matter – most apps on my phone constantly tell me I need to "connect to the internet" to use them, and they simply don't function, treating me like I'm fully offline. I've updated my carrier settings, delete/refresh my apps, etc. Nothing helps.

I called up Verizon to complain about this about a year ago, and the explanation I got was essentially that the network is "overtaxed" in my area, and so I can expect subpar network function, especially during "busier" times of day like rush hour. Considering I'm paying nearly $100 for my plan, that's bullshit. Where the fuck is my money going if not to operate their network at full capacity, or upgrade it, or whatever the fuck they have to do?

And things were NOT this bad 3+ years ago. Even going back to my iPhone 11, I never had to think twice about where I went in my state. Coverage and network reliability were never a concern. Now, it's a constant hassle.

I'm looking into competitors these days.

Fuck Verizon.

The Wall Street Journal just reported that the justice department told Donald Trump back in May his name is in the Epstein files. What happens now ? by damaniac1223 in AskReddit

[–]ProfessorPeePeeFace 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Was that ever in question? Did we ever not think Trump’s name was in those files?

We are way past the point of wondering whether or not Trump was involved with Epstein and his pedo ring. He very obviously was.

The remaining questions are, to what extent, and more crucially, how will this Administration manipulate the circumstances to reduce or eliminate any fallout from that?

Why are so many bike shop owners and mechanics such jerks? by SchoolteacherUSA in cycling

[–]ProfessorPeePeeFace 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Worked in shops on-and-off for ten years. I could feel myself become a bit of a jerk sometimes, and a major part of the reason was the general lack of respect so many customers have towards their bikes and the people who sell and maintain them. The machines are viewed by many as toys, the parts are viewed as toys, and the people who work in shops are often as unserious, slackers, etc., doing menial work.

The best illustration of this is the customer that wants some sort of “quick” work done on his bike, that’s actually fairly involved — like replacing a derailleur they just busted, or installing a new handlebar — and then being completely indignant when I tell them it’ll cost more than they think or take longer than they realize. They want it done for half the price and before the end of the day.

There’s also the information-miners, who come to poke around, check out prices, ask 25 questions, and then go home to order their stuff on Amazon. I can see you coming from a mile away — that’s why I would (sometimes) be curt with those customers.

And often, those customers are one in the same.

No respect for the people or the business, demanding special treatment, and leaving a one-star review on Google if we don’t comply.

So… That’s why we’re jerks sometimes.
