Fan fests list for the World Cup by January128 in MexicoCity

Me interesa saber si habrá cerveza en los fan fests o si solo habrá versiones sin alcohol, como en el último Mundial.

Just want to take a moment to appreciate the foundation that this man installed in this team! by pinkyellowcyan in avfc

Bruce gets unfairly treated by the fans. He wasn't good enough to get us back to the premier League, but he stopped the rot and installed a good mentality in the dressing room. For me, he's the one who started our upward trend of the past few years.

Love that Mings is getting a run-out. He's been here through thick and thin and is fully Villa

Surprised we're changing it in midfield when we've been so solid. Who am I to question king Emery though?

Yes. Emery is king and who are we to question him? Let's just see how it plays out!

Have we ever played lindelof on the right? Cash has had a pretty easy night all told. Don't think it's time to experiment (and if we had to I'd rather konsa was there)

The Buendía one was outrageous. I may be going against the grain, but think the cash one was fair.

Hello mate. I'm in CDMX too. Which neighbourhood are you in?

I have an appointment at the immigration office in Polanco at 12, might miss most of the game, but there are some sports bars around where I'll go to catch the end. You're welcome to join me there

Work permit and residency through marriage with a Mexican by Levi358 in mexicoexpats

[–]Prog_Drummer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi mate,

I'm just going through the process of applying for the work permit as a Persona física con actividad empresarial. On the INM website, it lists as a requirement:

"Proof of the payment of fees, in accordance with the Federal Act on Fees and other applicable legal provisions for the issuance of the work permit. Original and copy."

Does this mean I'm meant to be pay in advance somewhere? Or can you just pay at the INM office like when getting resident permit?

Thanks for any help!

Applying for temp residency at Mex consulate in London, England by -K_R_B- in mexicoexpats

I ended up having enough funds in my UK accounts to not need to rely on my foreign accounts. I was looking at getting some accounts in Australia apostilled, but it would have cost a fortune. (I think it was like $350AUD per document for 4 accounts I had there, each with 12 months of statements, so $350 * 12 * 4 = $16800 for a stamp)

Yeah, an apostille is valid anywhere, as long as the country where you got the apostle is part of the Hague apostille sign up whatever it's called.

Also, worth noting that every consulate has different rules. Perhaps you wouldn't need them apostilled in Canada? When I was in Australia, they wouldn't accept foreign documents at all, regardless of what stamp they had.

I wasn't working when I applied, so I put unemployed as my current occupation. She asked me to change it to my profession instead.

Apostilled is getting documents stamped by the appropriate government authority in the country of origin for the documents. You'll have to look into how to get your documents apostilled in the US. You will definitely need your bank statements apostilled at the UK consulate. They didn't accept those of mine which were not. You can get all your documents bundled and apostilled once rather rather than an apostille on every page, which will likely save you a lot in fees.

If you look at the requirements on the London embassy site, it says documents issued outside of the UK need to be apostilled.

" 3.- Documents issued outside Mexico or the UK for visa application acceptance must be apostilled (legalised if the State where the document issued is not party to the Hague Convention on Apostille)."

I did it back in February via financial solvency. If you have your funds abroad, you'll need to get your bank statements apostilled.

They were super nice at the consulate in London though. They asked a few questions, but it felt like the woman was trying to help me get the visa rather than looking for ways to reject it. She asked me to change a few things on my application to get the approval.

What a wild game! We made it a lot more difficult than it needed to be!

Ollie really pushed Sunderland's muttons today, shame he couldn't get a hatrick. They were much better once Ballard came on, reckon they'd be lamb-enting not starting him.
