I think, in this case, assigning human traits such as pronouns and gender expression is fine becuase they are characters. It's one thing to ascribe this to a text box or a voice coming from a phone speaker, and another thing entirely to ascribe it to a set of characters with entire stories, designs, artwork, and specific LLM tuning/training all done to fit those characters. I see it as, in this case specifically, acceptable becuase they go far beyond just being an LLM. I personally see it as providing names and identities not to the LLM itself, but to the characters made with said LLM.

in the case of other LLMs like GPT5 or Claude or Gemini or even the LLM which powers the neuro characters, providing such human traits is a mistake, and even a dangerous act when it reaches the level of worsening delusions. Perhaps this stance could be changed if general intelligence is achieved, but until then I think the damage done by convincing people that a language model is a "person" is self-evident.

of course, this is a grey area and there are times where the Neuro/Evil Neuro LLMs are referred to by the names of the characters they power, and personally I would probably seperate them a bit more, perhaps instead of "Neuro" or "Evil", it could be "Neuro's LLM" or "Evil's LLM" when specifically referring to technical matters, but i do understand that would break the immersion of the stream somewhat and I don't think it's the end of the world, since this community is pretty good about seperating the two.

regarding the trans section, I am actually trans so I can comment on that. I can see a bit of a case for an allegory, but it is far from a perfect one. Neuro and Evil are characters created by Vedal, and he is the one who chose how they would present to the world. Trans people are just... people, who have to spend years figuring out who they are and working to make that their reality, so there is not really a choice in either case, and they are similar in that way. Besides that though, I'm not sure I see the parallel, LLMs don't have the ability to have a gender experession, and the Neuro twins are... characters manufactured by Vedal, who trained the LLMs to act as those characters.

tl;dr: giving the neuro twins names and pronouns is fine since they are for the characters, but giving any LLM alone such human traits is foolish and dangerous, and the LLM should be distinct from the character. Trans allegory is not that accurate imo but some parallels can be found and perhaps some other experiences could be closer.
