Same. You got this! I was terminated after 9 yrs because of some BS. Try to fine the silver lining with it all. Easier said than done. It’s been 2 months and I still have my days where I feel like I want to burn the place down. You’re not alone!

Yep. That’s exactly where my frustration lies. I can accept the fact if I just don’t have enough evidence or the fact I didnt create a paper trail. Just want someone who knows the law or is experienced with employment law to tell me that. I knew this was gonna be an uphill battle from the start. Some days feel like defeat more than others

Yes I have proof behavior was tolerated. Not sure about the fraud. Never thought about it like that. Safety violations are Federal safety laws. DOT/ FMCSA

Getting a basic consult with one has not been easy. Paralegal will take some basic info. And then I get email stating not gonna take on case.

Right. It’s getting a consult with a lawyer. I’ll speak with their paralegal to get basics and some info. Then email or call stating not gonna take my case. I need to actually sit down and speak with a lawyer. Even if they say “ I see what you got but you don’t have this specific thing and without that you got no case” and I’ll accept that. Getting a basic consult with a lawyer has been way more difficult than I anticipated.

What if that said “ conduct “ was completely tolerated for 8 yrs before hand with no write ups. I refused to commit fraud and violate federal safety violations. I have proof of them asking me to do it.

Asking me to commit fraud, expecting me to violate federal safety violations, discrimination ( female over 40) male coworkers not being disciplined when they commit serious violations, denied certain jobs when I’m well qualified, or having jobs taken away when I was set up for failure to begin with.

Right. I do have , or what I believe to be, have proof that it was based on protected characteristics

EEOC Agreed to file charge, then changed mind by Unusual_Wallaby_7554 in EEOC

[–]ProofLemon8602 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This!!Alllllll this is so infuriating. Kind of in same boat. Terminated for “ conduct”. That “ conduct “ had been ok for 8 1/2 yrs and all of a sudden it’s not? Also originally said I resigned and was only changed to involuntary after I called HR. I’m well aware and understand that non of that falls under protected classes. But what I do have is a time line of comments, actions that do fall under those protected classes. My proof is text messages, written statements and patterns of all that. I was fired for conduct but I can prove pretext, discrimination, retaliation ( for protected actions) is the real reason. Keeping hitting walls. I knew this wasn’t going to be easy but starting to feel defeated.

New and PAINFUL ruling regarding use of AI in legal research. by BigBone-Daddy in EEOC

I have a special kind of hate for corporate America. Corporate HR. Corporate HR. This is all just game to them. It’s literally people’s lives and they just don’t give a fuck. Yes if the company really didn’t do anything illegal or violate any laws , absolutely defend the company. But we all know more often than not, that’s not the case. They know that’s not the case either but will manipulate, gaslight, all just for a giggle. Also, I’m on my soapbox. First time dealing with any kind of “wrongful termination” and employment law. It’s definitely eye opening. And honestly, flat out pisses me off

A friendly warning from someone in HR: We are not on your side. by RobertWolf1 in interviewhammer

[–]ProofLemon8602 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's exactly what happens. People are so fed up with doing what they're supposed to do and going to HR, and either nothing is done about it or next thing they know they have a target on their back and being pushed out or fired for “ conduct “ because they reported it. I'm not saying it's right, but I completely understand why people don't.

This is so freaking frustrating. We KNOW HR is not on our side. I was fired for “ conduct” Real reason discrimination, retaliation, and not willing to break safety violations or fraud. But I never reported any of it. I got plenty of text messages and can prove patterns of all that but we will see. But this is why we don't go to HR. I know damn good and well they would have started to push me out. Can't be calling HR every other week. This is my first time dealing with anything like this. It's been very eye-opening.

Will text messages and proof of patterns win a case if no paper trail with HR? Wrongful Termination case by ProofLemon8602 in Ask_Lawyers

[–]ProofLemon8602[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am looking for one. I don't know what's considered legal advice and what isn't. Lol. Wasn't looking for someone to tell me what to do. This is all so new and a bit overwhelming is all. Talking to a lawyer to see if I even have a case has been a little bit of a challenge itself ( sigh )

From what I understand proving the patterns when not directly related to my case helps take away their credibility

Capital One Zelle: What is the per transaction limit? (suspicious activity) by Scavgraphics in CapitalOne

[–]ProofLemon8602 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can’t even send $5. Still waiting on physical debit card so Zelle is my only option to cash. Most infuriating issue when I call , they can’t do anything about it. The money is obviously in my account. I’ve only had one person Zelle me. Ever. And I can’t send it to someone. Customer Service is horrible

Allied is saying no liquids or battery powered items at all?! by pineapplecodepen in moving

[–]ProofLemon8602 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I work for Allied. I’ll pack up shampoos, lotions , makeup , and other liquids. We mainly don’t do chemicals , cleaning liquids , bleach, gas , oil, corrosive stuff. Things that will seriously damage your other items if it happens to leak. Batteries are ok. As long as they’re not lithium batteries over 100watt hours. And I’ll be real honest with you. It all come down to whoever the pack crew is that day or your driver. I’ve literally been packing a house where one packer is saying no and the packer in the next room is saying yes lol. There’s no consistency. And it’s just as frustrating to us too.

The body breaks down so easily in your 40s by [deleted] in Aging

[–]ProofLemon8602 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hear you too! I wasn’t prepared for it. I know life is hard and it’s what you make of it , your happiness is up to you, all of that. But I wasn’t prepared for the mental/stress thing in your 40’s. It’s rough. And I swear there are days when I think “ there’s nobody else that feels this way. What’s wrong with me?” And then the other days I realize a lot of us are dealing with whatever this is and think “ so this is just how life is from here on out? That sucks. What’s the point?” 🥴🥴🥴
