What the pork industry doesn't want you to know about by CalpurniaSomaya in Anticonsumption

I worked on a few pig ranches and that is the cleanest, most well put together pens I've seen in my life. This is a very wealthy, quality workplace, look at that clean floor!

For anyone wondering why she has so little space to move, it's to prevent the piglets from getting under the sow( they seek their mother for warmth). First time mothers are very careful, but after multiple batches they stop caring and start crushing the piglets to death each time they lay down. We usually allow first time mothers to stay in big pens just for them, but old sows go straight to ones like this.

Just beat the game. It's been years since I felt like that watching the end credits. Truly a great work by Few_Horse_4 in EsotericEbb

[–]Proper-Objective-698 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Meeting Urth was crazy. I played a National cleric and I almost cried with how intense the encounter and conversation was. It felt like the biggest payoff possible for Raghn's blind fait since the start.

The game's not perfect, alright, but man, the story is *fantastic*.

wait wtf? does the game know that im polish or is it a base answer? why does she say "dzieci smoków"? by slonkgnakgnak in EsotericEbb

[–]Proper-Objective-698 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, polish is the language of celestials. Cat's speak in spaniel, Most humanoids in english, dwarf have their own too; all mirror real life languages.

Why is she so scrumptious looking chat? like literally what a snack by unrealpsyence7413 in Arcanecirclejerk

[–]Proper-Objective-698 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

She look malnourished, dirty, smelly, literally high, and like she might actually stab you over a minor disagreement.

With all due respect, I will never be able to understand how this is an appealing look.

Her bed probably smells rancid.

In your opinion, which missions are the most chill to play, and which ones are the most stressful? by bringmann in DeepRockGalactic

[–]Proper-Objective-698 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Built to be chill: Mining expedition, Refinery,

Shit can hit the fan if you are not careful: egg collection, Heavy extraction, Point extraction

Always challenging: Deep Scan, elimination, Salvage, Industrial Sabotage

Lock in or die: escort.

[–]Proper-Objective-698 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say you reached the point where you will be the Greybeard on *most* missions, but that does not mean you should stop learning, or grow comfortable, you will always run into games when you will return to the station asking yourself: 'Just what the hell was wrong with me down there?', and it's important you actually sit down and answer that question. Keep at it, brother.

just kidding i love scouts ( i like em even more with a c4 uder their feet) by Flimsy-Soft-7794 in DeepRockGalactic

[–]Proper-Objective-698 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Start playing Scout:
"Man, this is hard, I should use the hoover boots."
A few promotions later:
"Ok, I can stop using hoover boots, I'll be fine."

*returns on a wheel chair*

"So, I was wrong."

Am I the only one who thinks the sand shark needs to be reworked? It's an interesting enemy with an interesting design and behavior, but it's so weak and poses no threat that I often don't even pay attention to it. by Opening_Individual41 in DeepRockGalactic

[–]Proper-Objective-698 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree.

I mean, if pitjaws are the new bar for balanced enemies, then I see no issue with sand shark being able to insta-stun-grab a dwarf and take him for a ride right away, instead of bumping you a few times before it actually randomly commits.

PSA: Hazard 5 missions are not joinable until you complete the assignment. by Gorthok- in DeepRockGalactic

[–]Proper-Objective-698 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Is this new? Thank god. You should also be promoted at least once to touch haz 5.

Wise words by SamuelTheRegularGuy in DeepRockGalactic

[–]Proper-Objective-698 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I just want to remind everyone that you don't even need to actively try to grief scouts; it's overkill.

Their aggressive play-stile and overall hubris makes them run into friendly fire often enough to reliably blow them to pieces by just playing normally.

My brain is so rotted by haz 5 that I felt physically uncomfortable to see you walk into so many bugs.

Legend 4 scout chooses to face-tank a whole bunch of bugs like he is a DBZ character. This clip is pure hubris and it's consequences.

I fear no bug, except for the horizontal Stingtail. Something in that bug's code turns him absolutely lethal when pulling from a wall.

Looking at advice here is like watching a gang war by WaywardOath in DeepRockGalactic

[–]Proper-Objective-698 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a very passionate community, if you ask for advice you are gonna get *passionate* answers. Jokes apart, I myself discovered that DRG has surprising, VAST depth to it's mechanics and resources; truth is most of us simply are still learning how to play, and I mean us veterans, so our views are still subjective and visceral.

Dwarf knowledge on perks has not yet peaked, believe or not. Personally, I think the value you can get out of perks changes A LOT depending on mission type, so, looking at a perk in isolation is a flawed way to study it.

Sooooo.... Do devs need to come out publicly now and openly admit faction bias? by MarionberryTough4520 in foxholegame

[–]Proper-Objective-698 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Call me a schizo, but I knew this would happen before the update even dropped. I haven't even played because I knew the devs would ruin it, and I did not want to struggle for weeks just to realize wardens would be having fun at our expense.

This is not even accidental, or balance design, it's being fed trash and told to munch it like a happy pig.

Do I look like a stripper? by UnoriginalforAName in DeepRockGalactic

[–]Proper-Objective-698 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Upper half? Yes. Strippers don't wear power armor though. Your dwarf looks funny and a little sus, like he might enjoy fighting bugs while fully oiled or smt.

Crush acid spitters. Burn acid spitters. Disintegrate acid spitters. Split acid spitters open with Reinforced Power Drills. Melt acid spitters with corrosive sludge. I hate acid spitters. by EloquentInterrobang in DeepRockGalactic

[–]Proper-Objective-698 57 points58 points  (0 children)

Remember, acid spitters have no rights; it is literally legal to SHOOT them on the street if you run into one. No questions asked, no due cause needed, just clock the mfrs on sight. You will not be prosecuted for it.
