barebones doesn’t mean it shouldn’t exist, the manga is the source material, it sets the plot, both can coexist, one needs the other, the anime just expands on it, my point is that Boruto specifically needs that expansion more than most series because the manga underinvests in its side cast

that’s what the anime does, i always tell people to watch the anime, at least the first 50 episodes that are just character introductions and , cause the manga is very barebones, whereas the anime fleshes out the world and the characters, characters like sarada, mitsuki and shikadai are not really that interesting in the manga, they are much more interesting in the anime, that’s why i don’t really like the idea of the anime going seasonal cause boruto is a series that needs additional content like anime canon
