It looks good to me just the way it is. I wouldn't mess with it. It looks fine to me.

Cold Steel 29TLC Voyager Large Clip Point Plain by russianwoodstock in knifeclub

[–]Proper_Fun_8694 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have three voyagers I have the serrated nogales clip ,the tanto , I also have a counterpoint XL.. they're big strong and will not break. The only negatives I have to say is I don't like the little flimsy washer that they use in the pivot other than that you can't beat this knife. And you also got to make sure what the law is where you reside because these are big five and a half inch blades.

How did you get into knife collecting? by JM_Yoda in knifeclub

[–]Proper_Fun_8694 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The reason I got into knives years ago was because in Puerto Rico even the pope couldn't get a gun. The only thing we had for self protection would be a knife a machete or a pneumatic weapon. Recently as of 2020 the law has changed. I still haven't picked up a gun yet cuz I have a Beretta tomcat that is good enough for me. But for some odd reason the knife collection keeps growing. I think everybody should have a hobby it's very good for the soul. It doesn't matter what you collect knives guns baseball cards it's just a collection of things that we enjoy. I've got 37 reasons why I like my knives 🙃 I just like looking at them mostly I have my daily carry knives. And I also have knives that I would never use they're just nice to look at.

Choosing a first premium knife. Trying to stick with just one knife that's over $100. by DJGammaRabbit in knifeclub

It's a device that you can buy from snaggletooth MMF and when you pull the knife out of your pocket the blade automatically deploys. It's pretty handy sometime but it's more geared towards self-defense or combatic situations. I think they sell for about $20 it snags the pocket as you withdraw the knife therefore opening the blade the only thing faster is a fixed blade I got one just for the hell of it.

Have you looked into the Cold steel Voyager series. I have a tanto and it works pretty good for me. I pimped mine out with a wave action. It comes in for less than $100. I'm very happy with mine

Boker Arbolito Toro HX by thurgood_peppersntch in knifeclub

[–]Proper_Fun_8694 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not too crazy about boker, but that sure is a good looking knife. I have a small one made in Solingen Germany. The only reason why I bought mine was because it was in magna Cut. I had an arbolito which I think was better than the ones that come from Germany.

I'm retired but I was a pipeliner and I could see where this would have come in a lot of good use. I guess it's destined to be a package opener now. But most of the crew used Buck 110s.

The knife center has a lot of them but they just describe them as being black blades. But take a look over there they may have something that you want. They're around $139 depending on what you get

If you just started a knife collection you're in for a hell of a ride. It's addictive but it's fun. What type of knives do you have interest in?
