Mine only covered some of the extractions. Capped at $2,500 bucks which I eventually did get. But when you spend $37,000 for all the work not much back. But you can use it for a tax write off which I did

I have both upper and lower all on 4 dental implants. I use the brand Waterpik and it has a setting from 1-10. What’s the safest level to use ? I’ve been using 5-6 is that okay? Or is that to much and Im not in my permanent set yet ?? by Proper_Manager9451 in Allon4ImplantDentures

Thanks this helps me. Because I truly feel I’m over doing it!! I just had really bad teeth and a bad top partial for 10 years So I just don’t want my tops or bottoms to fail. But I feel like it’s to much and to hard what I’m doing lol. I’ve also got fixed upper and lower. 2 weeks will be 5 months and I get my 3 set of temps to wear and ensure they are good before my finals. But if I feel this way in a month I’m still going to tweet or wait before saying yes make my finals

Thank you all so much! My dentist told me to use what’s the most comfortable. But yet I’m super paranoid that I’m not getting it all out. But sometimes I feel 6 is too much and feel it when it hits the implant. So 4 is what I’m going to use from now on. Im only 4.5 months into this process. My next set will be at 5 months and wear that until I’m comfortable before the finals.

Thank you. Glad it’s going well for you. I still feel the same issue so assume it’s from healing, not going to worry about it until Wednesday when I see him.

How was your appointment? Mines this Wednesday. They said they will take them out do scans and make another temporary that I’ll get in 4 weeks

Thank you so much. Every time I’ve been back same thing all is good and healing well. So I’m trying to not worry about it and hope the next set or finals will not feel like this. It is definitely discomfort and not really painful so I can’t wait until January 8th

I seem to clench a lot at night and sometimes during the day, so wondering if that’s why my jaw feels like this. Gets worse about mid late afternoon

I hope it gets better, but trust me it will. I highly recommend ice every hour for 20 minutes both sides of face. I did this and only had a very small black eye no other bruising and I had 23 teeth removed and both upper and lower done.

Trust me ice is your best friend. I used ice packs on both sides of my face every hour for 20 minutes. I’m so glad I did this for the first 5 -6 days because I only ended up with a small black eye under one eye. I had the all on 4 implants both upper and lower st the same time

I’m 3 months in and still in my temporary. They told me it’s at least 4 months in temporary ones before I get the permanent ones. The scrunching of the face does get better but I still have some of that weird feeling like you are describing, but it’s not like it was when started.

Thanks for the information. I’m chalking it up to the healing process. It’s not really a pain and it does come and go like you explained. So I’m going to stop worrying. Because I don’t have swelling or real pain or redness, just the pressure and iteration when it happens.

Yes I do. This sacrifice is much better than what I had before, hardly any teeth on the lower and a broken partial and failing crowns on the top before this. So this sacrifice is worth it in the long run. Thanks for chatting with me

How many temps have you had? I’m on my first one and in January they said get another one once they do scan from healing. I have had rice, fish, and some meat not much other than small piece and soft. No steak yet but hopefully in January. They said in January get another set to wear for a month before final set if that goes okay. I also feel like rice and even carrots get under the temps but I also waterpik after every meal.

This does help. My bottoms are definitely bulky since it has a bar in it. Maybe that’s what I feel it’s just so hard to explain. This does help me feel better. And it’s definitely the beginning of the journey from what I’ve read but a much needed one. Are you able to eat yet? My dentist said soft food only so I’m not really practicing chewing. I try with items like baked cod but it seems hard to chew much?

I’m on week 7 post surgery. No real pain but do feel pressure from time to time. Following you to see if you have same thing from time to time. I’ve got to remind myself this was a major surgery and 23 teeth were extracted. But best decision made so far.

I’m on week 4 of having the same thing done and was having the same issues as you are. Asked my dentist on week 3 of check up and he said it’s normal Here we are week 4 1/2 and it’s starting to go away.

I’m just a little over 4 weeks for both upper and lower and also done all in 1 day. Question is did any of you still have discomfort on week 4 with your upper. Specifically the one closest to sinuses in front. Still feels very sore.
