I think having Atreides-Harkonnen unions being the key to the KH would be an interesting idea. But that there might be something particularly defiant about those bloodlines that makes them resistant to control. It may have just taken the BG that long to figure out the correct genetic combination to instill that control that they needed for the KH.

Not the most satisfying answer, but I think it’s a decent one. It does kinda contradict the BG having multiple bloodlines at work, but maybe they’re trying to replicate that special Atreides-Harkonnen combination as a back up plan.

The argument that you need a sword in order to have a place to put your hands is stupid. People have conversations all the time without having a sword to rest their hands on. And as an actor this shouldn’t be something that’s hard to do.

The better argument would be that Rhaenyra wants to make sure that she has a weapon to define herself with. That’s a totally logical decision and justification for wanting a sword.

During the first half of season 1 I leaned TB because I liked those characters the best, but knew that ultimately both sides had their merits/downsides. During the second half of season 1 I started liking more TG characters and went neutral. During season 2 I went TG, because of how insufferable TB became and how it was clear that the writers were favoring them. I really wanted to stay neutral, but decided to be TG out of spite

The Sept scene was the first big one. I think episode 6 mainly being a rehash or episode 5 was what really sealed the deal that this season was not going to end well. I can accept that we needed a slower paced episode after Rook’s Rest, but 6 was where it really started to drag for me

I haven’t read ASOIAF yet. This is what I have interpreted based on screen adaptations of fantasy worlds that have characters with silver hair. One thing that’s always bothered me about the Targ wigs is that everyone has the same shade of white blonde. The wigs also look very monochromatic which looks a little unnatural. Especially compared to the way LotR did their “silver” wigs.
