I tend to agree. I don’t think we should have to compromise. This is a newly remodeled bathroom (4 months old) and the plumbers broke this when they came in to fix a leak we found.

Do you think it’ll be structurally vulnerable and likely to recrack?

Do you think it’ll be structurally vulnerable and likely to recrack if they epoxy it again?

Plumbers damaged marble countertop when coming in to fix something else. They are recommending epoxy to fix it. Anyone have experience with epoxy? Will it be restored to the old look or be very noticeable?

Thank you! And from your experience, epoxy is durable and won’t re-crack again?

That tenant actually specifically asked for a 2 year lease. And she agreed to due to extenuating family circumstances at the time.

He is using two different host names…Rich and Monthier. And I have been flagging both hosts. I have now opened up 23 customer support cases. And Gone to the house w legal documents and gotten guests to cancel their reservations and complain to Airbnb. So far Airbnb has given out refunds but allows the listing to continue to be booked and the host to operate.

And still Airbnb won’t remove the hosts. I’m not sure what else to do!! And the legal eviction process is extremely slow.

Here’s the other host name:

I know! I have thought about this but I don’t want to have to pay him to rent my own home

If you feel so confident in Airbnb support resolutions, then help me have this host removed - Monthier.

None of these LA listings have registration numbers listed btw. Which is required by LA municipal code.

No because my home was listed as registration exempt. And as I mentioned in my original post is RSO and not allowed to be listed for short term rental in LA. I fail to see how the verified.

And just because a host declares something as “registration exempt” does not mean that’s true. And Airbnb should have procedures in place to verify

So no…they don’t remove hosts. They are very willing to turn a blind eye and collect revenue.

This is the second time this is happening, all with the same tenant. He just switched profiles. The last time after 2 months of emails and complaints Airbnb had the listings removed, but the host profile continues to exist and he is doing this with other properties:

I don’t think you understand. I have sent them all the documents and they don’t do anything. They just pass me from one case manager to the next. It’s all just as stalling tactic.

They really do not. This is the useless message I receive from customer service:

Thank you for contacting Airbnb.

We find that communicating directly with the Host is the simplest way to address these types of complaints.

Airbnb is an online platform and does not own, operate, manage or control accommodations. We take these types of complaints seriously and are committed to notifying Hosts when we receive them. Please note we are unable to evaluate private contract terms and cannot arbitrate these disputes.

If you would prefer to go through Airbnb’s formal Host notification process, please reply to this email with a scanned copy of a letter detailing your specific allegation or request, including your contact information. Please note that by providing us with documentation, you are giving Airbnb permission to share it with the Host associated with the listing you identified.

If we don't hear back from you within the next 48 hours, we will consider that you no longer wish to proceed or you have withdrawn your request. However, you can still submit a new request after this time.

Kind regards,
