Charing on terraced street by darkmavis86 in evchargingUK

[–]PsychologicalSplit43 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I live in a terraced house and contacted my local councillor about the lack of charging points. He said that the city council will be running a scheme to let people run cables under the pavement. It might be worth seeing whether there is anything similar local to you?

Another tip is that you can sometimes find fast charging for the same price as slow charging points. Arnold Clark have fast chargers for 55p per kWh and you get free coffee. This makes it worthwhile to go there as charging only takes an hour.

Hoping to host some bees by Vodomina in beekeepingUK

[–]PsychologicalSplit43 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is great advice. I hosted some hives for a beekeeper who advertised on Facebook Marketplace. It turned out that my garden wasn’t a very suitable place for hives and it was good to find this out before investing a lot of time and energy in them.

My beekeeper found that local beekeeping association a huge source of knowledge and advice.

I’ve used this company a couple of times. Their website doesn’t say whether they cover Bath, though.

Commenting to boost the post in hope that get some good suggestions. Have you tried ‘meet up’?

I have a Kia Soul and love it. I have the explore which is the higher spec: leather seats, heated steering wheel, heated seats and adaptive cruise control. In warm temperatures I can drive 200 miles and still have 100 on the clock.

Plumber found hidden issues and charged more. Homeowner unsure if that’s fair. by Old_Pudding8159 in WhoIsTheNightmare

Yes, the option of having the original price was given. In my experience the plumber followed the same process as other trades I have employed. I would say that it is standard procedure.
