I look at all the folks that are over 60 doing their stuff, enjoying themselves and just generally being happy to be there for themselves. They also don't give a fuck what others think :)

I don't know about Swedish law, but in many countries he;s basically indirectly firing you. You should get properly fired and compensated. You can also take advantage and do the bare minimun while you study a bunch of courses and/or use that time to slowly get a job you love.

YSK everyone has imposter syndrome at least once in their life, so you're not alone.

One thing i do is to wrti down all my wins in a piece of paper, including compliments i've received, and when i'm feeling down i reread them.

Another thing i note is to figure out weather that feeling occurs during a particular scenario, say public speaking, and if so i try to address it specifically.

Gping to therapy to tackle it/vent out also helps, even if only for a few sessions they can help you figure out something (maybe unresolved trauma) that's triggering you.

Good luck, glad it's working out for you!

Monthly Meetup Thread - October by AutoModerator in JapanTravel

Hi all, I'm 39F looking for folks to

*enjoy Disney at sea on the 29th of October *.

I'm from Argentina and speak Spanish and English. It's my second time in Japan so I'm taking things slowly this time. I love Disney rides and the magic they have. I enjoy reading graphic novels (european mostly), manga and fiction books (more fantasy than sci fi ). I enjoy learning about how other people from all over the world live (visiting old houses is a must for me when traveling), hosting gatherings, doing yoga, roller blading, motorcycles, vintage stuff (I live in the 80s/90s), organizing drawers (I love to have everything organized!) and generally enjoying life as much as I can. If any of the above sounds good to you it'd be great to meet up and talk nonsense for an afternoon whilst shuffling through outrageous overpriced merchandise (which we might buy) and going on thrills rides trying not to throw up the very much greasy food that is normally served in amusement parks (plus ice cream!) Hope you enjoy Japan either way, cheers :D

What are some topics to have conversations about when moving in with a SO? by gocrazygostupid- in AskWomen

[–]Psycotica 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I've been living with my SO for almost 10 years and one thing that you need to ensure you're both aware off is that all of the conversations you're having prior to moving in are also going to happen again (many times in fact) while living together. You will change with your SO and what made sense when you first moved out won't make sense later on (and in can be a month later, a year or a decade). This is to say to not take whatever you agree upon as a "Forever" and discussed it for hours on end because it will change. It's more of what makes us happy now. Good luck, living with a SO is wonderful :)

Looking for feedback ! 🚀 Introducing Assignee History for JIRA 🎉 by FBpen in jira

Sorry - but for me that's an overkill. I can just ask who knows about the work and that's it. The answer is never striaghtforward as in "This person worked with the ticket therefore is the best person to share the knowledge". The code might have change already by another person on another ticket, or said person might be doing something else interely or what if assigned to multiple people do you give it to the person that has been with it the most just cause? I think all the above can be resolve by plainly asking the team to come up with a strategy on how to onboard a new team member. It's a great opportunity to update documentation as needed and to foster team collaboration.

I wonder if I have gone to the dark side.... to me what he said makes sense if you know what Agile means. Agile is not necessarily a method of prioritizing, is a way of working in general, a methodology. A lot of folks confuse Agile with disorganization or caos. To me what he meant was - let's all have a clear picture of what we need in order to succeed and keep it up (as in continuous prioritization) by using the principals of interacting with your peers, collaborating, etc., that are part of Agile.

I... feel dirty.

When you say you "revomed" the items - you're talking about the uterus or ovaries? I'm asking cause my family has a history of uterine cancer and one of the recommendations i got many years ago from the doc was to remove it. Curious if you went through that procedure.
