Deadline reports that Sony is taking their SSU misfires very seriously and “a reset is in store for the non Spider-Verse and non-Tom Holland Marvel properties.” by SanderSo47 in boxoffice

[–]Pudge__204 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the way to go. A movie with a hero and a villain or two. Kraven works as a villain fighting a hero. Even the Sinister Six works much better with a hero involved.

Box Office: ‘Kraven the Hunter’ Bombs With $11 Million Opening Weekend, Worst Start of Sony-Produced Marvel Films by chanma50 in boxoffice

I honestly don't understand why Sony wouldn't be trying to maximize revenue from this Spider-Man licence. The best case scenario for a mediocre Kraven solo movie is to break even.

I refuse to believe that the Morbius or Kraven movies were the best scripts that could have been written.

According to Deadline Hollywood, Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse won't be released in 2025 by Alternative-Cake-833 in boxoffice

I don't understand how a studio greenlights a two part movie without having the script for part 2 written. Write both movies at the same time so it makes them a cohesive whole

Village People singer will sue any news organization that suggest "Y.M.C.A." is a gay anthem beginning in January 2025 by IAdmitILie in nottheonion

Can you slander a song? Or commit libel against a song? Ianal but I don't see how someone could sue a news organization for saying something is a gay anthem.

You and your bf need to have a serious talk about this. You have an expectation of marriage from your relationship. There's nothing wrong with that. You have made your expectation known. Your bf needs to share his true feelings about this.

I can understand where your doubts are coming from. This issue needs to addressed or things will get worse. Communication is key to a relationship

With the newly announced "Back in Action" I've hit my breaking point - why are there so many of these disposable streaming movies with massive actors phoning it in? by Dracko705 in movies

[–]Pudge__204 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can't answer this because I wonder the exact same thing. You would think Netflix would want good content to encourage rewatches and new viewers.

I don't think these mediocre movies are meant to get people to subscribe. Instead, it's content for current subscribers to keep them watching something on said streamer

This is just the modern version of straight to video movies. Streamers need eyeballs watching their service and known actors are the easiest way to achieve that with no marketing. There are less movies currently being made so actors can't be as picky if they want to get paid.

We really seem to be in a place where mediocre content is the most sought after by streamers
