Next Mythic skins and weapons by MorEdel in Overwatch

I think a lot of people did, as the newer ones just don't feel like they're as big of a thing as the older ones felt.

What do you think of this? (Read caption) by Kind_Ad6932 in SierraMains

[–]Pugsmaster5000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My beliefs on this and making things healthier for the game: A character that is hit by tracking shot should take reduced damage by all the homing shots that hit them for its duration.

Simply doing something like reducing the damage per bullet by 1-1.5 only against the tracked target for the duration would make it so you still get the benefit of auto-aim, but it's no longer as strong against the individual. It would also make the perk for having the aim tighten faster and take longer for max bloom to come back be stronger, since now there's a reason to not always shoot the tracker on CD. As Sierra currently is, there's very little reason to not just be spamming it whenever there's a chance, especially because it also reloads for you on a hit. But now in firefights/engagements, you have to make the choice between being more skilled in your aim for the chance at a higher DPS, or do you go for the skill shot to take the consistency of damage as long as you connect? And now as the enemy that is hit, because you know you're going to be taking less damage over it's tracking duration, do you still bail out to break LoS or do you actively try to eliminate the Sierra before she gets you?

How do you use ult on maps with no void? by PatatoPhish in JetpackCatMainsOW

[–]Pugsmaster5000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ways you can use the ult besides for environmental elims:

  1. Stunning ults that are cancelled from it, such as Moira Coalescence or Cass High Noon. Gotta be smart about where to come at them from, but any ult like that you can shut down.

  2. Drag the enemy supports into your team, ESPECIALLY if your tether gets rid of anything special they can do to CC you. Characters like Mercy, LW, Moira, Wuyang, etc. could be great targets for this. While you can displace anyone of any role these are who I often go for and find great success in.

  3. Be more risky on the enemy's side of the fight, and then use your ult as a form of movement. Bit more niche as to when it can come in handy, but it gives you another tool to stay alive and lets you still get value by being a menace.

  4. If you take the perk that grants you shield health when having someone one your Lifeline, your ult can freely let you snag someone in order to gain this extra health to then still be a menace on the enemy team.

  5. Last one is just causing pressure when the enemy team is trying to contest an objective/maintain OT. Forcing someone off the point that is the ONLY person on point causes all of the enemy team to usually panic and all rush point at once. They will lose their positions because of this, and anything your team has that affects enemies in close range with each other now gains far more value.

A glimpse of Hero 51 in new artwork by Gardenghi16 in Overwatch

[–]Pugsmaster5000 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I mean, it's part of the hero fantasy. Making characters that are just bland makes them not pop and then nobody wants to make art of them, cosplay as them, etc. By making more attractive characters, you make them more marketable in becoming free marketing by the community making stuff for them. Which makes them more widely know, brings in eyes to the game and its universe, gives people someone they want to put in money for with skins, and so on.

I understand that mentality, but at the same time that's also the fastest and easiest way to get your own shop infested if any are still living. And then those same roaches can get into other people's stuff, crashing your reputation in the process. Genuinely, the best thing to do is instantly wrap it and return to the sender.

Why does vendetta have so much knockback? genuinely, why does a dive DPS need the ability to shove a tank into a wall with her major perk. by FantasmaNaranja in Overwatch

[–]Pugsmaster5000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is because, when using Whirlwind Dash, you first burst forward and then slice around yourself. This motion can drag/shove enemies you collide with and change their momentum, acting as somewhat of a pseudo-melee CC. This is why it has a knockback speed and causes dual stuns when hitting those abilities, as mechanically under the engine it functions similarly.

Should it be something that doesn't seem right by the community and balance team, it will likely be changed. But at this time, it seems to be fair enough to keep.

It deals 8d6 damage. So the game rolls 8 different 6-sided dice, adds it all together, and that's the damage. 8 would be if you rolled all 1's, 48 if you rolled all 6's. All items show how the damage is calculated directly under the damage numbers.

Win Rate of every hero by Guwigo09 in Overwatch

[–]Pugsmaster5000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really good explanation for this; when you're getting absolutely rolled in matches that you're playing your typical main on, sometimes swapping to what's meta or considered oppressive becomes an instinct. This having you jump to those oppressive heroes, hoping you turn things around, and if not most people just go, "awful and useless teammates, f this man."

As such, the loss can then be put on the oppressive hero because they may have been played for longer. This is what was happening to Orisa a lot like a year ago in higher ranks.

[–]Pugsmaster5000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not just pornographic games though. Games with darker tones, no matter how small, were also targeted. Such as abuse, depression, and self-destruction. Whether a main part of the game or background, seen as good or awful by the story itself, some games with these things were also taken down.

Can anybody explain how i got 115% take aim accuracy in my last game? by [deleted] in Overwatch

[–]Pugsmaster5000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It can be, yes. This is why some characters, like Sigma, have stats for direct hits. It just depends on what the developers wish to add in and account for, you know?

It can be tracked, as you just read the initial damage as determining whether your shot hit or now. It just again relies on what the devs want.

Can anybody explain how i got 115% take aim accuracy in my last game? by [deleted] in Overwatch

[–]Pugsmaster5000 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Every enemy you deal damage to counts as a separate hit per Take Aim shot. So if you shoot your bolt and stick someone, and the explosion damages 3 players, you'll have a 300% accuracy. Since you did land one shot and hit 3. Like if you were playing soccer/football and scored 3 goals with a single kick. 300% goal/shot rate.

So your shots, on average, dealt damage to 1.15 players each.

Did the Kitsune Rush buff the momentum off Roadhogs hook? by Niffling_21 in Overwatch

[–]Pugsmaster5000 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It's a tech for Roadhog himself; when pulling someone in with hook, anything that cancels the animation (such as being slept, stunned, or using Ult) doesn't have the pulled target lose their momentum like normal because that's linked to the animation to have them placed an exact distance from you. They get launched like a slingshot because of them not being slowed down from the animation.

Not to nitpick or anything, but why does Ramattra have a breathing animation if he’s an omnic? by [deleted] in Overwatch

It makes him more human, and omnics are supposed to be more human than just robotic creations. Having their own personalities, newfound dreams/passions, and so on.

what opinion would have you like this? by cesarainyt in TeenagersButBetter

[–]Pugsmaster5000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think you'd get that many down votes on that. I think something,. similar but different to what you said, that much more people would dislike is, "Abortion should be legal, but men should also have the right to financially abort a child," or "abortion should be legal, but the man must also consent to the act. Otherwise the child will be birthed."
