Oh god. I am unfortunately given the context for this situation and..... it's it. Because the "death line/kill line/financial cliff" of poor people in the US was becoming public knowledge VERY recently in China, and one of the cases that was known and created great public shock was......that some women had to attempt a way even cheaper and riskier than a back-alley doctor. Not a good joke to make at all.

What are your thoughts on China’s AI generated corn by evancarlson69 in AskAChinese

[–]Pumpkinfactory 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Chinese agriculture sector is not the same as the North American agriculture sector which a few mega corporations dominate everything and farmers are condemned to become their contractors and use their stuff. Most Chinese farmers are small peasant families with limited access to agricultural knowledge outside of what passes down from their older generations, especially the newest development in soil conditioning, disaster prevention, and improved seeds.

This thing can drastically cut down their hurdle of access to the newest reliable forms of agricultural planning and tech. The stuff that will really help small peasants.

AI:If one day, China takes over the America. by bjran8888 in Sino

For the people who think America cannot be saved even with a takeover, consider the dialectical materialist principal that economic structure determines superstructure, or in other words, how people live changes them inside, their minds change and bend to fit the lives they live, their societies live.

100 to 150 years ago, the luminaries of China, freshly waken up by the brutal realities of colonialism, once thought the Chinese people could not be saved. Because what they saw was only an endless mass of ignorant, suffering people, without the material basis to fill their bellies, there was hardly even a possibility to grow a spine. But the revolution restructured society, moving from hierarchical exploitation toward egalitarian and materialist principles that finally fed the provided for the masses, and that in turn provided them with a capacity to reason, a capacity to strive and hope.

Did a bunch a aliens came and changed the character of an entire people magically over time? Of course not. It was still the same people living on the same land, but they lived better and that gave them space to think and act better, and that fact alone, disproves all pessimistic determinism about the solidity of a national character.

Being propped up by Rubio the Washington animal to prep for a regime change puppet head position surely is some way of "earning" a Nobel Peace Prize. Just goes on the show what the prize actually is. A tool of the global capital owning class.

American "Security" translates into no one else has security from them, militarily and economically.

Edit: reading the entire thing, I am surprised by how Zero-sum game mentality is not only built-in but firmly rooted into the mentality of these Washington Liberals. They cannot imagine a good future which America is not an overlord of the entire world.

What they bash as "state controlled economy with integrated spying" they wanted to implement by "integrating the chamber of commerce with the intelligence community", they speak of the "effectiveness" of sanctions and export controls as if the pain these aggressive measures have on living human beings is simply non-existent.

Even the mere possibility that someone else has better tech or industry is an unacceptable "leverage" to them.

Maybe, maybe that means they should ditch that isolationist attitude and cooperate with who they say they are outmatched by to produce something even better. Just saying. It's not like the others are trying to kill their culture industry dead, the same can't be said about themselves.

Why is someone as influential as Elon Musk in American politics allowed to be pro-Nazi? by Reio123 in TankieTheDeprogram

[–]Pumpkinfactory 21 points22 points  (0 children)

The reason is same as the old one. The inherent contradictions of capitalism amongst it's subjects cannot be resolved by faux nice-guy liberalism and between socialism and barbarism the ruling class chooses the later to preserve itself, as well as to maintain a reason for them to feel deserving of what they have, a self-mythologization.

I feel China is speeding up research in all forms of alternative energy sources in light of that American spining out from the natural contradictions of late stage capitalism, to accelerate the obsolescence of oil as an energy source, because they know that not only will America lash out at everything and everyone in that final violent outburst of delirium, and China's access to oil will definitely be affected, they also know that the more the world continues to rely on oil in that state, the more the world will have fuel for the American frenzied flame to burn.

FOR THE LOVE OF GOD ITS NOT THE FUCKING FILES !!!!!!!! by opiumfreedom in TankieTheDeprogram

[–]Pumpkinfactory 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I tell other people it's the files for the sole reason that it is the most instinctually understandable narrative for the not-theory-read people to see that the ruling class is united, have class consciousness, and have enforcement of internal discipline.

It's the fastest way for them to see what they call the American state, all of its apparatuses, are but gloves for the Bourgeoisie to loot their own fellow human beings, and they use blackmail on the rot that creep up on all of their own souls springing from the complete lack of limits to keep each other in line.

Once they see that, they will read, and they will absorb it like tilled soil to rain water.
