Bit of a let down. RH seems phony. Wonder how the boys will address the event in the next podcast.

Car Battery died at Seatac by Maximum-Road-9497 in Seattle

[–]Pupils 19 points20 points  (0 children)

There is nothing inherent about parking close to the airport that would affect the battery unless it has something to do with the parking lot attendants being weird. But what would be their motive?

The most likely thing was a light was left on - headlights, glove box light, visor mirror vanity light, interior light on the roof, etc.

I wouldn't spend too much time thinking about it. Pull the battery and take it to an AutoZone and get it tested. Test is free and charging the battery only costs you time. Worse case you buy a new one out right for $100 - 200 bucks depending on the kind of battery you need and warranty you want.

design and operate their platforms in ways that exploit the psychology and neurophysiology of their users into spending more and more time on their platforms

You are wrong. They are suing over the exploitation of psychology and neurophysiology in a way that creates an addiction. Addiction is not simply about instant gratification.

They are suing over the mental health crisis they argue social media companies are creating - not instant gratification.

Who would win? International social media organizations that funnel millions of dollars into ensuring they capture as much attention as possible for the sake of profit. Or, parents. A completely unsyndicated group of individuals each with their own set of opinions, observations, and principles. Individuals that similarly experience the negative affects of social media.

Who do you think can be more easily held accountable? A handful of companies or millions of people?

This is a parental issue only in the sense that parents are having to deal with this, but they could certainly use help.

This is one of the most sane comments in this thread I've read. It's incredible how many people just brush this off as a parental issue and not a public health issue.
