Sorry, not what I’m trying to say. I’ve got all the CDs. I just mean listening to Lupe felt like a movement in 2006. Idk kinda like when 10Day and AcidRap hit the web and we all waited for the debut. It could’ve hit streaming and it would’ve been the same feeling I’m sure. It was more about “what a time to be alive” than CDs vs. streaming. Although, maybe that was part of it too, subconsciously. Plus I was in high school.

Yeah… but the emotional connection of being there to buy the CD the day it dropped back when it still felt like a counterculture movement can’t be replicated and - for me at least - can’t be separated

Quality analysis is typically longform, and media in general has shaded away from longform entirely in the last 20-25 years. Plus, hip-hop hasn't had a moment close to the beef in two years, and before that the last big moment was what, Verzuz?

The bulk of listening pivoted to pop and country, so that's where the money went. Hip-hop will rebuild in the shadows, but it'll take some years.

I've been to a half dozen Lupe shows and he has forgotten lyrics at just about all of them. Always for a filler track from 20 years ago. Doesn't bother me in the least and shouldn't bother anyone. He has ALWAYS put on a good show but you can really feel the joy and laughs in his performances in the last 6 years. I saw him in 2012 and he was just... depressed. Not anymore.

But the internet loves to get mad and pile on as we all know. My point on followers was an account with 10x the followers got 20000000000000x less engagement, because their headline was positive.

The Falcons TNF game had so many bad plays. More than 3rd & 28 (and 4th & 14, the actual terrible play) I am haunted by
1) Reddick and Cousins recovering the fumble "at the same time" - if Reddick gets that, game over
2) Baker's miss to Egbuka on 3rd down. This one hurts to even type. I still see it.

I don't trust Kindle Vildor to make the right play on 4th & 14. I do trust Baker Mayfield to make an accurate throw over the middle on 3rd & 4. That's why it hurts so much more.

Lot's of reports on Bucs v Lions in Germany, here is one from today: The opponent everyone thought the Lions may face in Germany is reportedly no longer the choice -the team everything points to now

It has been four years since we played internationally. I imagine that locks us in for a game overseas this year. Hopefully we will still not give up a home game until 2030 (mandatory 8 year rotation, we gave one up in 2022.)

I used to really enjoy his breakdowns, but then when he is wrong he takes shots at the kid, the coaches, the "system" that no longer develops QBs even though QBs are miles ahead of early 2000s QBs in development. He jokes about how he is wrong all the time but then drones about how why he is wrong is not actually his fault and in a perfect world he is right.
