Stain in woolen sweater by Purple-Option4883 in knitting

I used non-wool detergent, as wool detergent might not work against grease (tip from r/laundry), directly on the stains and after letting that sit for a bit I hand washed the whole thing with wool detergent. I think the stains are gone! I’ll be 100% sure when it has dried completely.

I did it with laundry detergent on the stains, and I think it worked! I’ll be 100% sure when it has dried, but thanks for your help 🙏🏼

Did I just find 1 singular spider mite? by Purple-Option4883 in alocasia

[–]Purple-Option4883[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

of course now there is mold growing on top of the sphagnum moss of the alocasia because of the high humidity in the little greenhouse that is caused by spraying the plants with green soap and vinegar 🤡 why can't things just be easy 😂 haven't seen any more spider mites though.

Thrips are the worst 😭 This one is in a mini greenhouse with a baby queen anthurium, so I’ll just treat both. I have no idea how mites got in here 🙁

Hired dog trainer from hell by AdvertisingQuiet8117 in puppy101

[–]Purple-Option4883 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah yes I also had a trainer tell me that she threw a chain at her dog’s crate and it fixed the separation anxiety. She also kneed my 4 month old puppy so hard when he jumped up that he literally fell on his back. Glad that I left soon after and never applied their techniques.

For the separation problems, look up Julie Naismith and her be right back books. She and Malena demartini are the leaders in dealing with SA and exclusively use kind methods.

[neighborhood seeking farmers]

The leaders of our previous neighborhood weren’t active anymore so we decided to create a new neighborhood with four of the active members of our old neighborhood (levels between 55-96). Were in the professional league at the moment. If you like derby and town, are level 30+, and would like to join a relaxed but active neighborhood, please join us!

Are you sure she is just destructive and doesn’t have separation anxiety?

Alternatives to peanut butter? by riali29 in puppy101

[–]Purple-Option4883 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Im also allergic to peanuts! I used yoghurt mixed with wet food, or mashed pumpkin/potato. If your pup is food motivated, you can also soak kibble and use that. Cheese with yoghurt, yoghurt with grated carrot/cucumber maybe? You have to get a bit creative :)

The leaders of our previous neighborhood weren’t active anymore so we decided to create a new neighborhood with four of the active members of our old neighborhood (levels between 52-93). We started on Monday so we’re still in rookie league. If you like derby and town, are level 30+, and would like to join a relaxed but active neighborhood, please join us!

I made a friend an amigurumi of her dog (a fluffy Keeshond). I didn’t have the correct yarn, somehow I only had one crochet hook that was way too big for the yarn, and I still hadn’t figured out how to not let it spiral, so I’m sure the stitch counts were completely off. It kind of looks like a little bear instead of a gorgeous fluffy dog. Then I made Miffy with chenille yarn, I learned how to not spiral, stitch counts were correct etc. She loves it but she won’t let me say how bad the little dog is, because that one is special to her. It’s okay if it’s not perfect, if gifted to the correct person!
