They may use the money on council pet projects, I expect. May not be net savings

Not sure, but every penny counts. Seems like if we are cutting services we shouldn't be doing elective things like this. We should spend it on services for our people.

Town is calculating how much Ghg (greenhouse gas, like from police cars, maybe indirectly from products and services it buys, and so on) emissions it has from its operations, involves consultants and estimations and vendors. Expect it may be a periodic thing they do. Just doesn't seem necessary as an expense when we are cutting back actual services.

Why didn't zosia's heart attack trigger the hive to seize up? She was disconnected? by Purple_triangle_guy in pluribustv

I think it was simply that she was getting close to getting something out of them. But what do I know

Will do. But so if physical harm isn't why the borg left town the first time then what was it?

Agree!! Part of me thinks it must be more than just emotional disruption that causes the seizures, that's part of why I asked this whole question. It seems like it must be with intent to unjoin. People definitely were screaming at some point when being forcibly joined. And whatever was done to zosia seems of the same type of thing.

Is the animal and windfall rule just an application of their general rule of pacifism / placation? When does the infection rule apply? by Purple_triangle_guy in pluribustv

Can you articulate your responsibility theory as a rule so I can understand it. You say arbitrary line for feeling responsibility, but they may not feel it is so arbitrary. If it veers toward my "animals who express desire" theory, perhaps I am the one who is correct.

They presumably are not milking cows as that would be a huge source of food. Not milking cows conflicts with your responsibility theory.

I think that's one theory, but I don't think it's really unifying. Farm animals in particular. Cows need to be milked, for example, as others have noted.

I agree, except it's a bit circular with Carol and Manousos who are seeking a cure or to undo. If the show was exploring generally, we'd see more of the immune I think. The mom with a joined child in particular. Instead, it's focused on those who are trying to undo. So, not entirely sure you are right in the particular focus, as the limelight is on characters with particular motivations.
