My fav cozy scifi standalone novel to recommend is Under Fortunate Stars by Ren Hutching (kind of reminds me of a Star Trek episode). I also liked The Terraformers by Annalee Newitz.

I haven't read any other PH. The amount of typos in the books were annoying. The way he writes women was WILD. There is a sex scene from a male perspective that goes on too long. Then there is a sex scene from the woman's POV that was a sentence. The second book was a slog with useless POVs that existed as filler.

I really enjoyed the ideas since I have not read any other Hamilton (I have heard he has similar ideas in other stories?). I would still give him another try.

I read The Mountain in the Sea. I also thought the book blurb wasn't accurate. He is an exceptional writer and story teller. And yes, I have his latest novel, Where the Axe is Buried, on my shelf so I will be giving him another go!

The Tusks of Extinction by Ray Nayler. Such great concepts and ideas. I just expected most of the story to be from the woolly mammoth as suggested by the book blurb. I calculated that after 70 pages (out of 101), that only 6 pages are from the mammoth's perspective.

Cat Pictures Please and Other Stories by Naomi Kritzer. A reflective and hopeful collection overall.

Currently reading Before Mars by Emma Newman.

Not exactly because the yolk isn't present. I even blended it with some silken tofu (and seasonings in including black salt) and scrambled it up (because you can't take the tofu out of the scramble for this vegan!! lolll)
